Results

Battlegrounds Results

Group A

In Group A, FCB struggled the entire tournament and ended up with mere two top 4 placements, leaving them on the last place. VK took an early lead in the group thanks to Diana's back to back victories on Day 1, but started slowly falling down the ranks as the tournament progressed, which allowed Team LP and Team Liquid to take the top 2 spots.

Group B

Much like Group A, Group B had a clear margin between the last place team and the rest, but Suning Gaming's downfall didn't begin until their second day of the tournament, as they got to last place in both lobbies. T1 took an early lead despite Xixo disconnecting in the very first lobby, but his struggles on the third day allowed WE to surpass them with the smallest of margins. As G2 was able to top the group thanks to their last day's back to back victories, T1 was left out of the final. Surrender's individual performance was still quite notable, as he finished in top 4 in all but one of the six lobbies and got more points than Team LP's PF who played three lobbies more in the final round.

The Final

In the final, which consisted of three lobbies, WE took an early lead and never let it go, being by far the most consistent team and finishing first with a clear margin to the runners-up Team Liquid. Trunks from Team LP finished with most individual points gathered, but as his teammate PF's performance couldn't quite match his score, their team finished third. G2's downfall was the first lobby where they took the last two places, forcing them to try riskier strategies in order to catch up with the other teams, but falling short in their attempts.

Constructed Results

If FCB's Battlegrounds didn't go too well, so didn't their Constructed either as they were the first team to be eliminated with defeats to RNG and Team Liquid. On the other end of the spectrum, Invictus Gaming secured their top 4 spot with two convincing 3-0 victories. Team Liquid was able to overcome RNG to get the second place.

In Group B, G2 was left with the short end of the stick with two 3-2 defeats to the Chinese teams WE and LF. T1 was able to secure first place finish while LF bounced back from their 3-0 defeat to T1 and finished second.

The top 4 matches had a different format than the group games: a best-of-three consisting of best-of-fives. Despite losing the first Bo5, Invictus Gaming was able to secure the victory in the all-Chinese semifinal against LF, setting up a final with another unbeaten team T1 who overcame Team Liquid with a clean 2-0 Bo5 record. T1's strong performances continued in the final as they were able to take a 2-0 victory after a series of hard-fought matches, forcing Invictus Gaming to settle for the second place.
