It's come to our attention recently that Call of the Mountain will have been out for 5 weeks this Wednesday, but Out of Cards has yet to run a single article focusing on dragon decks! Sure we did our spotlight on Aurelion Sol, but there are so many more glorious dragons beyond A Sol that deserve their own article! Please forgive this egregious oversight, dear readers. Let's waste no further time and jump right in.

FiVE's Sol Demacia Dragons

Radiant Guardian Card Image Concerted Strike Card Image

Let's start with the most competitive decklist, which you may recall from our A Sol spotlight. FiVE invented this deck and used it to claim #1 spot on SEA. The primary gameplan is to use tricks like Single Combat, Concerted Strike, and Judgment on your dragons to cheese their kills, but his deck also features the always-powerful Radiant Guardian as an anti-aggro tool and contingency strategy. I'll include a link to his video on the deck, but since its in Chinese we'll embed a different video from Control explaining/playing FIVE's decklist in English.

SilverFuse's Sol Judgment Dragons

Inviolus Vox Card Image The Infinite Mindsplitter Card Image The Skies Descend Card Image

Next up is a similar deck from SilverFuse. She too is looking to Single Combat and Judgment to power-feed her dragons, but she doubles-down on the dragon-esque value by way of cards like Inviolus Vox, The Infinite Mindsplitter, and The Skies Descend.

Glop's Sol Dragons

Bastion Card Image Pale Cascade Card Image

This is the most recently updated deck on our list, from Glop who has been trying to perfect this archetype on both NA and EU. He's dropped some of the bigger threats like Judgment and Starshaping in favor of more "just good" cards like Solari Priestess, Bastion, and Pale Cascade.

SaucyMailman's Budget Dragons

Mobilize Card Image Zenith Blade Card Image

Finally, we have this gem from 'Champion of the People', Saucy Mailman, who has decreed that dragons should not be limited to just those with Epic and Champion wildcards burning holes in their pockets. You'll notice this decklist is composed with Common and Rare cards exclusively. To fill the gaps, he's looking to cards like Mobilize to get dragons out even sooner and Zenith Blade to give your dragons Overwhelm.

That will be all on dragon decks for now. You may have noticed a great degree of overlap between all 3 decks -- we don't expect dragon decks to really take off until Shyvana is released. Meanwhile, have you had fun playing dragons in Runeterra? Tell us below!
