Hearthstone's patch 20.0 releases on March 25, but according to the patch notes, the Arena rotation should happen on March 30 with the launch of Forged in the Barrens. I'm bringing this up because we've had some mishaps in the past where the rotation unintentionally hit with the pre-launch patch, so better safe than sorry. Also, the Duels "rotation" happens on March 25 (see below), so who knows.
The new rotation will include following sets:
- Core
- Forged in the Barrens
- Darkmoon Races Mini-Set
- Madness at the Darkmoon Faire
- Scholomance Academy
- Ashes of Outland
- Rise of Shadows
- Mean Streets of Gadgetzan
"Free" Tavern Ticket
Since the new rotation will not only add new sets but also remove some, we should expect a free Tavern Ticket for our unfinished Arena runs. As per usual, start an Arena run, leave it at X wins and a maximum of 2 losses and get a reward equal to the amount of wins you left the run with, plus a Tavern Ticket when your run gets retired with the rotation.
Don't forget that Arena entries generally close a few hours prior to the expansion launch based on your server time. Don't leave it for last minute!
Duels Rotation
According to patch notes for Duels, when the patch hits on March 25, rankings for Casual and Heroic will reset and a few new sets will get added to the current pool of cards, even leaving in the then Legacy set (Basic+Classic).
Since no sets are going to be taken away with the rotation, we don't expect we will get a Tavern Ticket for leaving Heroic Duels run up. We also did not get a ticket last time. Feel free to test the waters though.
The new rotation will include following sets:
- (NEW) Forged in the Barrens*
- (NEW) Core
- The Darkmoon Races Mini-Set
- Madness at the Darkmoon Faire
- Scholomance Academy
- (NEW) Journey to Un’Goro
- One Night in Kharazan
- Whispers of the Old Gods
- Curse of Naxxramas
- Legacy (Basic/Classic)
*Forged in the Barrens cards can be found in card buckets offered between matches in Duels before the expansion unlocks on March 30!

Does anyone know if there's a way to see if you're current Duels run is Casual or Heroic? I started a run a long time ago, I believe shortly before set rotation as a test to see if that would give a free pack. So that would imply that this active run is a Heroic one, but I'm not sure. But if there's no way of knowing, I'm likely just going to leave it as is.
From what I noticed there's this red arrow in the center where you can see your number of wins;
The arrow will move towards your right every time you score a win, and will come full circle on 12 wins.
This is not the case for casuals, which the arrow is not present at all.
There is a way, look at the borders and the area that shows your number of wins. Especially at the crossed axes. Casual is grey dark, relatively plain. Heroic shows yellow, more glowy, more adornments too. Basically like this.
