Hearthstone's latest mini-set, The Deadmines, has been out for just over a week now and it's time that we check out what's going on in Standard. Yes, we are indeed going to be seeing a few nerfs, and a buff, next week but that doesn't mean we can't take advantage of the situation now!
We've pulled in some of the best decks by winrate from HSReplay.net looking at the higher end of the ladder. Honestly, this article should have just been labelled Questing in the Deadmines.
Aggro Druid
Quest Handlock
Pirate Quest Warrior
Face Hunter
Libram Paladin
Quest Mage
Quest Rogue
Garrote Rogue
A little lower than other decks right now but it gets onto the list because of the upcoming Garrote nerf - have fun with that face damage while you can!
Comments
Standard has reached dumpster fire level. I can't play constructed for more than two games without having to put it down. All the games on this list are meh to play and/or horrible to play against.
It's a different game now with different devs and different suits. They clearly have some formula or plan that's taken them away from what made Hearthstone so popular.
Anyway I have better things to do than deal with charging pirates and mega card draw into OTK and face hunter and snoozefest pallys and so on.
This game ain't fun. If you think it is then you weren't around when it really was. Oh and Blizzard, if you're reading this. Mercenaries is trash. Can't believe I payed good money for that rudimentary run of the mill pointless mobile game garbage. Feels real bad giving you any money again after that.
Been playing since 2017. So whatever. Kinda worn out anyway but I still try to play fun decks. And I do. Just can't have fun playing them.
Oh forgot to mention death-of-all-fun Quest Warlock. They really jacked up the game with these quests. The quests are the exact opposite direction from what makes the game fun.
Druid of the Reef doesn't make the cut in Taunt Druid? =/ And no new cards in Libram Pally?
What 1-drop would you cut? Every 1-mana minion in the existing list is better than Reef for what this deck needs most (value and stickiness).
I'm experimenting with 1 copy of the parrot. On curve with a previously played Hand or Mount it's okay, in late game with a pre-played-on-a-minion Hope it can be game winning.
