Due for arrival just before Hearthstone's new expansion, TITANS, releases on August 1, we've got a welcome update inbound to the collection manager.

Blizzard confirmed on Twitter that there is a new box added to the crafting menu to show which cards are related to the card that is in focus. This feature already exists in some cases, such as with Colossal minions or with minions which generate a weapon in the case of a card like Tirion Fordring. Though, it is limited to just showing one card.

The old version of related cards, as it is today.

The new version looks quite awesome, and supports up to 6 cards! The feature applies to any card that has related tokens, which must have been quite a bit of work to put together. This addition makes it so much easier for players to build decks in-game without having to cross-reference card databases such as on the official site, which showcases related cards, or here on Out of Games, which has sporadic support since it can no longer be automated (hopefully this data lives in the client again with the update).

the titans are complex cards and the team wanted to make sure that when you craft a titan, you know what you're getting coming in patch 27.0, the new "related cards" box will pop up in the crafting menu. every card can be moused over and read up to six cards can be displayed!

the team did great work here - big shout out to the hearthstone team and extra special credit to both our amazing UI designer sola and our super engineer clay

Is this just for titans, or for any card that generates others (ie questlines/cards like murloc tidehunter)

i believe it's any card that generates others, though not sure about murloc tidehunter or cards that say the full token text in the box but things like lightforged cariel can show the hero power AND the weapon @MyntyPhresh can you confirm

(Leo Robles): Any card with tokens
Sargeras? Shows all 6 tokens in a list
Cariel? Shows Hero Power and weapon in a list
Murloc Tidehunter? Shows the Murloc token as a big card next to it
Even if the token is explained fully, we want to let players see cool art!

That's that! A nice new UI feature coming in Hearthstone's next big game update with the launch of TITANS. One could argue that this should have been in the game years ago, considering its just using existing UI elements, but hey, better late than never, right?
