September has just kicked off a brand new season in Hearthstone and with the recent patch that brought in a few changes that focused on Hunter, it's now time to take a look at what the best performing decks are in Standard. Let's check out the decks and our tips for starting off your games right with the correct mulligans.

Aggro Paladin

Aggro Paladin has been a very consistently good deck, boasting high win rates and a mana curve that really encourages flooding the board. Sinful Sous Chef, Sanguine Soldier, and Grimestreet Outfitter are all great cards that you should hold onto at the start of the game. It should also be noted that Crusader Aura is an incredible powerhouse which makes your dudes, and other little guys, incredibly strong which should be able to put your swarming over the edge in terms of power.

Thaddius Warlock

Amorphous Slime, Forge of Wills, and Imposing Anubisath are all fantastic cards that are important to hang onto with Thaddius Warlock. Although they won't be played immediately, the same goes for many of the cards in your deck with our mid-to-late-game focus on control, we don't need to worry about being swarmed on thanks to big taunts and great board clear thanks to Defile and Mortal Eradication. Control the board, overrun your opponent, enjoy the surrenders.

Arcane Hunter

Arcane Hunters loves to start things off with Costumed Singer, Trinket Tracker, and Halduron Brightwing - Awakening Tremors is also not bad to keep if it shows up. We've got some great ways to churn through our low-cost deck quickly and the amount of damage we can add to our Arcane spells to help keep control of the game is fantastic. Secrets are also quite important, ultimately allowing us to play a very cheap Starstrung Bow

Arcane Hunter has recently seen a rise in popularity, so if you're looking for a deck to counter, this should be up there!

Mech Rogue

Click Clock! Start things off with the definitive trio of mechanical doom by mulliganing for Click-Clocker, Frequency Oscillator, and Drone Deconstructor. Here we get buffs, more buffs, and cheaper mechs. Ini Stormcoil helps us later to finish things up with our beautifully buffed mechanical minions, and Mimiron, the Mastermind dishes out his own version of Spare Parts as we add to the field in the mid-game.

Mech Rogue remains a start deck despite many players ditching it in favor of other decks.

Drum Buff Druid

The cheapest deck on our list by far, Drum Druid is going to love to start things off with Witchwood Apple, Embrace of Nature and Widowbloom Seedsman, which is essential to play on-curve to make full use of the ramp provided by the empty mana crystal - deck thinning is nice too! Speaking of thinning and mana costs, Summer Flowerchild helps us fetch our bigger cards, allowing them to be played on-curve, and bringing us the namesake of this deck, Drum Circle, which brings on board some huge buffs for our field - or a swarm of its own.

Outcast Demon Hunter

The popularity of Demon Hunter has been all over the place but one thing is for certain - Outcast is a wonderful mechanic. There are so many bits and pieces that have to go right for this kind of deck to work, with card positioning in your hand sometimes feeling less than ideal, but we can definitively say you can't go wrong with a cheap Demon Hunter deck.

Hold onto, or seek, Shambling Chow, Vicious Slitherspear, and Fierce Outsider, which will help you establish board control early on. Halveria Darkraven is an essential piece of this deck to bring forth in the mid-to-late game providing great buff potential to a board that is incredibly eager to get things started (hi Rush).
