I think it would be pretty neato if we had a section of this site dedicated not only to cards that have had nerfs/buffs, but cards that we know the early designs of to show what the process of making a card looks like.
Most of the time we only see the end result of a card and not how many/what kind of iterations it went through.
This is a feature that would be interesting to have, but in all honesty is probably near the bottom of the list but hey, no rush.

I mean i agree that it would be a cool feature to have and we are open to almost anything, but to tell you the truth, i dont think this is very realistic. I dont even think that there is information to be gathered out there for each card to do this and even if it were, it would be a monstrous undertaking to put it all together.
What we might do, and we do do it already (for example this), is to showcase how a specific card or cards came to be. Be it the process of creating the art or devs talking about how they came up with the idea etc.
You know what? I think this would actually be a really good area of "expertise" for someone to tackle with weekly articles, where they could always showcase a specific card(s). There would be (arguably) enough time for research between articles, if it were a weekly thing, and there could be a lot of content to go through overall, so it would have potential to last for a long time.
We are currently looking for ppl who would like to contribute with creating content for the site and this looks like something that, if we found a dedicated person for it, would be a really great addition. So if you, or anyone else, is interested in taking on this responsibility, feel free to apply here.

I think a log of all card nerfs/buffs/changes could be done and would be a neat feature, but a compendium of stages of design seems very pie-in-the-sky. We're certainly not ever going to get the complete behind the scenes picture, but even what little information is publicly available is in interviews with the devs throughout the years and in different formats, so it'd be a hassle to track it all down.
I wouldn't mind if someone compiled it for us because I'm always interested in game design insider information, but who's gonna do it?
We already have that actually :) And card changes listed in those patches are also associated with cards and shown on their card pages, for example look at Molten Giant's page.

I wasn't exactly clear, I meant more of a card gallery of all the individual cards that have been changed over the years. Sure you can find that information if you dig through all of the changelogs, but it's not the most convenient method. I hadn't noticed that the card database also lists changes, and that's a great feature, but again, unless you already know which cards have been changed you'd have to go through all of the cards to find out.
I understand if it's not remotely a priority, but I think it would be cool to have a sort of rogues gallery of all the cards that had to die for their sins.
