It sounds interesting until you consider that youve got to play this specifically on 4 or chances are good it'll never end up doing anything.
Because theres no world where you hold on to excavate just so you can get this beast out earlier than the impossible 8 turns of wait. All I can say is that it'll be interesting in wild where its possible to give this charge, but in standard its just an inconsistent big boi that's praying hard to be relevant in the game.
I'm going to be optimistic about this one. There will be times when you will wake this guy up frighteningly soon. And even when you don't, Warrior can last until it's awake. And then you can copy it.

DRUMS, DRUMS IN THE DEEP
I'm not sure, but I'm guessing if this is dormant on the board, you can play an excavate card to subtract 2 from the dormant turn counter. I can't imagine that would be hard to do somewhere in the minimum six turn wait. I'm pretty sure most classes have tools to easily deal with this by turn 10, but maybe you get lucky and your opponent used them or isn't holding them. Warrior also has a decent amount of handbuffs for taunt, so it might not be hard to play this with 20/20 stats.
As a side note, I want Excavate keyword to tell me the next Tier I'm digging into so I don't have to remember what tier I'm at.
