This card is to Excavate as Devoted Maniac is to Invoke. Except the stats on this card are nowhere near as shit as that one, so it won't feel bad to run this.
It'll see play by sole virtue of the fact that it excavates.
Highlander decks would need it, but in other decks its likely going to get superseded by a cheaper excavate card. For what it is, the main issue that its 5 mana, in 2023 that 5 mana card would need to do quite a lot to see play in competitive.
I sure can't complain about a 6 Attack rush on turn 5 that also excavates. Most things should die to that, and if not, it will be weak enough to be easily picked off.
