Superheroes, space adventures, a violent Viking saga and two Tom Cruise reels - here are the movies that  readers are looking forward to right now.
We put a fantastic film year behind us and welcome a new one. Spider-Man: No Way Home 2022 is the year when Tom Cruise finally gets to show off everything he has been doing in recent years, Spider-Man returns and Alexander Skarsgård becomes a violent, vengeful Viking. Hopefully it will also be the year when James Cameron releases his long-delayed sequel to "Avatar" (but we've heard that since type 2013!).

Superheroes continue to dominate - we'll see Doctor Strange and Thor return in new Marvel movies. But the most anticipated film is "The Batman", in which Robert Pattinson takes on the role of a young and gloomy Bruce Wayne.

Matt Reeves' dark reinterpretation of the popular DC hero tops the list when readers have been able to vote for their most anticipated titles in 2022. Over 1300 votes came in.
