Jorden rundt på 80 dage All the actors have those roles that they were incredibly close to getting, but missed on the finish line. Before Andrew Garfield broke through, he was one of the favorites for the fantasy franchise "The Story of Narnia" but was judged "not good-looking enough". Garfield says in an interview with Entertainment Tonight that he "desperately" wanted the role: Sing 2

- I auditioned for Prince Caspian in "The Story of Narnia" and I thought, "now it happens, now it happens". And the handsome, talented actor Ben Barnes got the role instead. I think it was between him and me, and I remember how obsessed I was The Schoolmaster Games.

Finally, the Film Company fell to Barnes, who got to play one of the lead roles in "The Story of Narnia: Prince Caspian" (2008) and then in "The Story of Narnia: King Caspian and the Ship Dawn" (2010).
Narnia Prince Ben Barnes - better looking than Andrew Garfield?

Garfield complained to his agent and received a harsh but honest answer:

- She gave in to my constant nagging and kind of said, "they do not think you're good-looking enough, Andrew". Ben Barnes is very handsome and talented, and in retrospect I am not dissatisfied. I thought he did such a great job.

There is no need for Andrew Garfield either. He eventually made his breakthrough in David Fincher's "The Social Network" (2010) and a few years later became Spider-Man with the whole world. Garfield has had an extra good 2021, with acclaimed roles both in the drama "The Eyes of Tammy Faye" and in the musical "Tick, Tick ... Boom!", Which just gave him a Golden Globe.

(Ben Barnes, on the other hand, has not made a film in several years, but now sticks to TV series.)
