Shadows Control Priest

My idea for a control priest deck with the next expansion. I think priest is getting some crazy good control cards that'll really help it become one of the better removal based classes out there. The only problem that i can see myself running into with this deck is closing the game out. I'm thinking that maybe just loading up a board with Squashlings and then using Spirit of the Dead to fill your deck with squashlings could be good, but I'm not convinced that will be strong enough. It also does have the potential to just burn you out with Holy Fire and Auchenai Phantasm / Auchenai Soulpriest and heal effects

Yeah I think you should cut on some spells and add minions to compete with the board. With a long combo like this and with the loss of Anduin, you'll want to find a way to soften your opponent's face and survive at the same time in order to then kill your opponent with some burst face damage. I would run 1 Forbidden Words instead of 2 and discard the Holy Waters since it is a mediocre single-target clear at best. Spirit of the Dead also looks a bit shaky. In addition, I would probably play Alexstrasza instead of Ysera to win faster.

As ManThighs says, Holy Water is not the greatest cards

Also Holy Fire is more or less the same (was only seen a bit in dragon control priest for Shadowreaper Anduin purposes - and there was only 1 in the list).

I would change both Holy Waters for Seance - for multiple Madame Lazul plays and / or copying something the opponent has- and 1 Holy Fire for Bwonsamdi and one Auchenai Soupriest for Talanji.

I like the idea of this list - we will need to ofc wait for the rest cards to be revealed - however at its current state the win condition seems to be all over the place (for me at least), hence the suggested changes to "drive" the deck towards something more specific.

    Hope this makes sense

In my time with Holy Water, it has never been strong enough to see competitive play. I think cutting it and adding a few more minions would do the deck some good.
