The Corrupted Menagerie

New Stuff

Menagerie Shaman got some pretty good new toys from SoU.  Weaponized Wasp is a great card for the Beast slot if you can provide the Lackeys reliably and the deck already ran Sludge Slurper.  Because of this, EVIL Cable Rat also finds it's way into the deck. Thankfully it is also a Beast, so its got a lot of synergy requirements checked off.  Plague of Murlocs is truly a blessing.  A mass transform effect is nuts against decks like Big Priest and Mech Hunter, and since the deck is already running Murloc synergy its even better! Saving the best for last, Corrupt the Waters is fantastic for menagerie shaman since there are so many Battlecry cards in the deck already, Heart of Vir'naal making Menagerie Magician hand out 3 Blessing of Kings is ridiculous and you can load up your hand even more than before with The Curator, Coldlight Oracle, and the Lackey Generators.  Hench-Clan Hag summoning 4 Amalgams is also great for making Everyfin is Awesome cheaper or bouncing back after a board clear.  Even though it has no Tribal synergy with the rest of the deck, I've also included Sandstorm Elemental just because it is so good with the quest.

To maximize the quest potential, I've had to cut some of the usual Menagerie deck staples in favor of other tribal minions with Battlecries.  Faerie Dragon, Hench-Clan Hogsteed, and 1 copy of Nightmare Amalgam, have been replaced with Brightwing, Drakonid Crusher, EVIL Cable Rat, and Coldlight Oracle.  I've also removed one copy of Everyfin is Awesome since it wasn't as reliably cheap as before in my playtesting.

The overall goal of the deck remains the same though, summon a bunch of tribal minions, buff them up with Zoobot, Menagerie Magician, and Gentle Megasaur, but now the buffs can be twice as big!  With so many battlecries in the deck now Shudderwock is even better at filling you hand and setting up the board to win the game.
