I mean "free" packs are free packs, but i find this artificial bloating of viewership as a rather dishonest practice. Id rather they made the tournaments interesting to watch by making the game itself more interesting, not buying views with packs lol ...

Well, it's the second expansion of the year. We can expect some pretty good epics and legendaries and i think that one of Druid epics will be a powerful choose one card. Or maybe Elise will be a choose one. Just a hunch..
Aha! See that's an interesting thought.. What would Elise's choice be. Maybe it could involve the horse she was riding in the trailer.
I haven't been playing druid much but I'm tempted to try it this upcoming expansion (no I ain't playing the current token druid; simply not my style). My question is do you think the current Choose one cards are enough or would the coming expansion have to include a bunch of new options to make the card viable?
Lack of notifications made me miss your answer and this deck.. looks good but are you just using Rag as a finisher? Seems odd.
I found the Scaleworm + Dire Frenzy combo to be quite fun in a dragon hunter deck and since you got Zombeasts and Nightmare Amalgam as targets as well, it's a spell to consider.
Having the card is nice but do you Use it? I'll still wait till I feel inspired and need a specific card to dust him but the future looks dim for ol' Illidan.
I hope the hunter quest reward ain't rush.. hunters go face! What will I do with puny rush minions?
More seriously though I didn't mind playing 1-costs for Carnassa and we've seen some 1-cost synergies lately, with jar vender being from Uldum, so maybe its still something related to them.. or beasts.. there's been some beast generation cards too and that'd be a fun direction to take. Im kinda bored with mechs tbh.
Usually though what i end up doing sometimes is i forget to hit the end turn button after i have made all my plays, and then when the rope appears i realize and wish we still had a Sorry emote.
I do that sometimes.. I also get bored easily so I need something risky in my decks. Whether it be a Weaponized Piñata in my mech decks or Marin the Fox in Zul'jin hunter.. I just like the gamble.
To answer the OP, they are VERY strong, and that power is mitigated only by the fact that (normally) you can't chose which one you get. So in a situation where you really need that charge, you might get something else, which is what makes Animal Companion fair. I think we saw what happens when the randomness is removed: Call of the Wild had to be nerfed, To My Side! was laughed at upon release, but ended up being a really strong card.
Oh I didn't know Call of the Wild was nerfed .. wasn't playing yet.. that answers that I guess..
Plus, unless it's Leokk (poor guy), you're guaranteed a beast that immediately impacts the board so a good target for Dire Frenzy or even Hunting Party if you feel meme-y.
I'd be fine with a way to get companions in hand or a card that somehow makes them more relevant.
I don't run Witchwood grizzly cause it works better against a hunter than for him.. mages, warlocks even priests generally have a big hand and with priest, if they steal the bear then it's disaster for you.
Unleash + revenge in a token deck.. why didn't I think of it.. I feel dumb.
Tundra Rhino takes up precious board space.. plus it'd be a miracle if that lives long enough to be of any use.. timber wolf is a much nicer surprise to drop on a grub board. I might try it though.
How about bringing back exact copies of the Minion that died? So for instance, if you get a Lich King down to 1 Health when it dies, that's how it comes back. Still annoying, but a damn sight easier to deal with.
I like that.. it keeps the Y'shaarj high roll but everything else is easier to deal with.
Lost vs Rag's SMOrc using bomb warrior this morning then had to go ..
Gonna try for real after work and Im definitely not scouting for fun strats here durimg lunch time.
Chump on youtube made a some Arcane Devourer decks.. seemed fun and the minion once cheated out can get quite strong.
I like it.. I'd totally buy a Mr Bigglesworth or a Misha pet.. I'd love a Turtle named Mal'ganis too

Oh.. so you're saying there's a chance; I guess Ill take that..
After all there's lots of cards to be released but I guess as of now it's not worth its share of dust.
Also as mentionned above I was thinking of the scarab+spider battlecry of Malfurion the Pestilent and not the hero power.

I already spotted Raven Idol , Malfurion the Pestilent , Nourish and Wardruid Loti was confirmed to work. Crystal Power on an Acolyte of Pain or some "whenever damaged"-type minion could be fun as well but what else is there?
What new options are you expecting?

I AM NOT.. convinced!
Having the card is nice but do you Use it? I'll still wait till I feel inspired and need a specific card to dust him but the future looks dim for ol' Illidan.
So I should keep my Illidan Stormrage then?
Do I have to?

I quite like the E.M.P. Operative one :
"I said this looks like a job for me
So everybody just follow me
'Cause we need a little E.M.P.
'Cause it feels so mechy without me…"
Sad that the card doesn't have a true E.M.P effect like "silence all mechs". That this card is an epic seems shady to me.

Rat Pack 's great! Will work nicely with the rest of the deck.. rats and worms.. this deck is pretty horrible
[Hearthstone Card (Flark's Boomzooka) Not Found] would leave my board with a bunch of 1/1s without spending the opponent's removal .. not worth it..
I like the modern version of good old DR Hunter.. looks like a strong deck to me.
That's interesting.. so a 2- mana "add a random animal companion to your hand" would probably see play then
Also means some kinda thematic spell hunter based around the companions may work..
The Stonehill was just an example of cards that would bring class cards more often so would get value from companions shifting pools.
This is just a thought but why are the animal companions only called forth with specific cards( animal companion, call of the wild, To my side ) ?
Is it simply flavour -references to WoW spells or are they really strong?
Thinking for example of cards like Stonehill Defender -
Would a hunter getting Misha be comparable?
I was running secret plan as a turn 1 play and as a way to make Zul'jin worth more than one turn but these suggestions sure are interesting...
I like that.. it keeps the Y'shaarj high roll but everything else is easier to deal with.
