I just love how Deadly Poison is a Nature spell instead of something that makes sense (like Fel or Shadow or no school). What's next, rogues running, oh I don't know, Earthmuffin Apprentice or whatever Blizzard comes up with as a minion making Nature spells cheaper, because that would be sooo flavorful.
Poisons deal nature damage in World of Warcraft. Thats why.
Platinum did a lot of heavy lifting for gen 4, I hope they take a lot from platinum. Mainly having more than 2 fire types in the regional dex..
The remakes have tended to mix in the 3rd game for story and mechanics, but not the wild Pokemon, so you're probably stuck with Chimchar and Ponyta for fire types sadly.
Having only played Diamond, could you give me some idea of just how much Platinum fixed? Because Diamond and Pearl have a LOT more problems than just having 2 fire types:
Team Galactic make no sense whatsoever (they all just follow Cyrus with no idea what his plan is. Even the admins!);
the animation and text speed is slow beyond the point of frustration;
there are way too many trainers with Gyarados, which is too strong with too few weaknesses to just give to every other water trainer;
too many of the new Pokemon are just evolutions of old ones, and too many of those aren't even obtainable until the post-game;
the story's pacing is way off;
the Elite Four ratchets up levels so much that you are forced into grinding for ages or cheesing the last fights by stalling with endless revives;
I like Cynthia fine, but her fight isn't actually enjoyable
why do I have to deal with the fog?! It's not even close to fun, but somehow isn't even the worst thing, oh no, that honour goes to
the damn swamp mechanic where you get stuck every other step! Just why? Who wants that?
These are all little annoyances that can easily be fixed in the remakes though, if they weren't already fixed in Platinum. Certainly they had learned their lesson going into Black and White, which hasn't got a single one of those issues.
The fire type thing was an example of the lack of diversity in the national dex, as I recall the electric types are very unrepresented aswell. Which is something that platinum improved heavily on, making sure that gym leaders and E4 members could actually use a full team of that type. I think platinum added like 100 pokemon?
Anyway I will try to answer these to the best of my abilities! :D
*The story of Team Galactic is still pretty much the same, although fleshed out a bit more. (I would say the story of most pokemon games isn't that great)
* The animation speed was improved on quite a bit, still fell short, which is more of a testiment on how poorly D and P were. IRC it went from 20 FPS to 30 FPS
* This was solved by having more variety in the dex. (That gyarados double battle ;_;)
* Platinum fixed this partialy, by making those pokemon available in the maingame, a MUST in my eyes
* I never really pay a lot of attention to the early pokemon game stories, but they add a bit more setup I would say, don't expect miracles
*Both the E4 and Cynthia are similar levels, Cynthia is still quite hard on Platinum, but I feel you are able to better counter her with the expanded regional dex.
* The Fog and the Swamp, I feel you, unfortunately platinum did not do much to change that. I hope they don't bring back HM's, but I fear the swamp sticks around as a feature.
Odd Warrior is one of the most uninteractive decks aswell. Hero power pass, yawn.. That deck really doesn't need more tools to bore your opponent to death with.
Why can't priest never have a normal fucking archetype, but does it always have to be the most toxic shit ever. Ress priest or steal priest, all played by absolutely degenerates. Rather face 10 face rogues.
That would be an absolute disaster. The game is build from ground up with the Idea of each class being highly specialised in strengths and weakness, adding such a thing would completely destroy that Idea and would cause many balance issues since you could just nullify your class weakness.
New card types
They already did this in the past with Hero cards and Iksar also mentioned that they experimented with an "Champion" type which would have a high ammount of health, a passive efffect and could not be hit with AOE or removel cards. So there is no reason to belive that they won't ever add a new minion type.
Card quantity
would only cause more pack fillers, there are always going to be 2-5 meta decks no matter how many cards you have acces to (see wild)
neutral spells, weapons, or even hero cards
More types of neutral cards would only reduce the need for using class cards and thus make the decks more similiar to each other. Especially neutral hero cards would defeat the entire purpose of giving each class acces to class specific Hero powers.
make the game fresh in the future
I really don't think those changes are neccesary for that. Since 2017 the game got every year more fresh things than the year before that.
Quests, Hero cards, the first events and the Dungeon run mode in 2017,
2 improved dungeon run modes, the puzzle lab and the first ever expansion featuring an HS original character in 2018,
3 connected expansion,even more improved Dungeon run modes and the Battlegrounds mode in 2019,
the first ever new class, ranked rework, Priest rework,free decks for new/returning players, duplicate protection, econemy rework, and PvP dungeon runs in 2020,
And now we are getting the Mercenaries mode which is a really big deal for the devs, the rework of the basic set as a free, rotating core set, Spell types, Horde/Alliance themed year and more things they havn't announced yet
As I said, there is no reason to be worried about keeping HS fresh and exciting.
This sums up pretty well how I feel about this. Also I would like to add I appreciate that Hearthstone is different game to the others.
Elwynn Forest, if only for the Goldshire Inn memes
Poisons deal nature damage in World of Warcraft. Thats why.
Stopped reading after you wrote they print Tickatus for aggro. It is literally only used in Control Warlock.
Rogue needed a little more draw tbh
It frustrates me he isn't keeping the one drops lol
Great another hate card against Combo.
Surely, they wont leave Nitroboost Poison the way it is right??
Oh look it is recruit
Seems like a good card, but I am so tired of Mage being turn into RNGclownfiesta class.. Just let me fling spells damnit..

Libram of Wisdom is a holy spell, I for one, welcome our new Paladin overlords

Heh "evolve"
Even paladin <3

Thats what I did, just saving the packs
This sums up pretty well how I feel about this. Also I would like to add I appreciate that Hearthstone is different game to the others.
It feels shitty to lose to, but there have been worse decks left unchecked imo.
Thats going to be Nitroboost probably
