    Here we go again:

Apple initially, then approximately Pi. All behind lots of blood curtailed with that feminine Latin and a machine.

Edit 2: @Dermostatic please explain the solution to us!

    Happy to! :)

Starting off, anchorm4n, you absolutely clued me in on how to go about this puzzle with your earlier post about capital letters, so I give you full points for thinking about this the right way. I'd been scouring Mech minions for random capitals (à la SN1P-SN4P) and trying to decipher DestroyerR's posts in this thread for hidden capital cities or misplaced capital letters.

In terms of my process, I started noticing some awkward capitalisation here and there on this thread, but didn't get much from that alone. So, I went into the mess of DestroyerR's forum posts. Not just here in the Treasure Hunt, but the full list you can find on a user's homepage.

I worked backwards, which is why it took me some time. We were told that we needed to know history, and I figured that DestroyerR had been working on this for a while, but (thankfully) not for years. Like you anchorm4n my initial search was to gather as many capital letters as possible from all posts I could read in about 30 minutes, which yielded no results and a mild headache. Then, I noticed that some of the posts I'd read had interesting capitalisation. Most noticeable was that these posts all had lowercase writing, with one glaring capital letter. The first one I stumbled upon was this post from about a month ago:

moroes is a groom, so maybe that. maybe a minion with Deathrattle for the relapse part?

Proper punctuation but improper capitalisation? I thought this had to be a clue, so I noted the letter "D" in a separate document. I kept going back and gathered some more letters. Some posts were in this thread, some were in the card design competition thread; heck, one was in a thread about whether or not to disenchant your trash legendaries!

i don’t know about others, but i pretty much never disenchant cards i don’t have two of. who knows what whacky fun decks you’ll be able to create down the line? in fact, i even go so far as to not dust even a packfiller Minion. you never know...

Once again, perfect punctuation, excellent grammar but... Not even first person singular "I" was capitalised? Weird. In the end, I had this collection of letters, in order:

    D S A M F (Y) D W L A T T M

Immediately after the M, older posts had a normal structure and capitalisation. I knew the answer had to contain these letters. The Y was in brackets because it was capitalised at the beginning of a word and thought it was a red herring to put us off the scent. Then I realised... D for Deathrattle, A for Attack, M for Minion... This must be some card text or a bunch of hints referring to a specific card. From there, it wasn't long before I took the full words rather than just the capital letters and got:

Deathrattle Summon A Minion From (Your) Deck With Less Attack Than This Minion

There's only one card I know of that does this: Meat Wagon. Interestingly, DestroyerR started in reverse, with the older posts containing the last words in the card text. This is really clever, because when you check someone's forum posts, you see them from newest to oldest, and would thus read these words in the order they're meant to go. Also, these posts are consecutive, meaning DestroyerR had to interact with the forum in such a way that they could incorporate their word for the clue in order. *Applause* for taking time and care with this puzzle, I thoroughly enjoyed finding it and was beyond satisfied to have completed it. Truly brilliant.

I've posted all the posts in order in a spoiler below with their appropriate thread and word bolded. I'll post my own riddle soon!

    Show Spoiler
    1. moroes is a groom, so maybe that. maybe a minion with Deathrattle for the relapse part? (Card Treasure Hunt)

    2. here’s my initial idea, maybe i’ll think about other ideas later. maybe an hp with a Summon mechanic… anyway, thoughts? (By Your Powers Combined - Card Design Competition)

    3. this is A blind guess, but kirin tor mage? kabal lackey could be the addicted “brother”, but i don’t know about the groom part (Card Treasure Hunt)

    4. ayyyyyy you did it!! i was starting to think i’d have to hint at a warrior Minion. nicely done, your turn! (Card Treasure Hunt)

    5. it absolutely is. a hint: From what it seems, the card is just a bit confused as to the name of the set (Card Treasure Hunt)

    6. Your guess is interesting… but nope (Card Treasure Hunt)

    7. it’s a minion, but not that one. as for the hint you requested, the de-scrambled answer contains 5 words. another nudge: perhaps you should try to think less about how iconic a card is in a set or Deck in order to pinpoint it, and more about how… flavorful  it can be. (Card Treasure Hunt)

    8. possibly. the important thing to remember is that there’s a reason why I presented this riddle With an interview: the card is genuinely trying to answer the question conventionally (Card Treasure Hunt)

    9. well, maybe a bit Less outside of the box… the anagram does answer the interview question coherently (meaning it’s closer to a set), but consider this: if the anagram only reveals the set, how come that alone is enough to discover the card? (Card Treasure Hunt)

    10. i think you may want to change the text. choose one isn’t formatted that way, and the text is barging into the Attack box (Two Quests Are Better Than One - Card Design Competition)

    11. that makes a lot of sense. much better to have a little extra text (which can be put into spoilers, so not even that) during the final vote Than potentially making a card lose unfairly because of lack of context (WCDC Idea: "Description from the creator" should be visible during the Final Voting stage)

    12. if you want to make This a hagatha reference, there’s already a murloc hagatha art you can use (Two Quests Are Better Than One - Card Design Competition)

    13. i don’t know about others, but i pretty much never disenchant cards i don’t have two of. who knows what whacky fun decks you’ll be able to create down the line? in fact, i even go so far as to not dust even a packfiller Minion. you never know… (Disenchant trash tier (and other) legendaries?)

You told us to "look for capitals", so I went through fourty.fucking.nine pages and wrote down all the capital letters.

I've been scouring DestroyerR's forum history too, and have noticed that particular posts have, to put it one way, awkward capitalisation.

I am, however, no closer to a guess.

I'll take the riddle by word and guess it's Forbidden Ancient because "of the" doesn't fit and the plural -s wasn't hinted at either.

Awesome stuff, that's bang on! Your thinking was on the right track with the Not for sitting president part of the clue. For Trump was the right way to go, the Not part indicating to take the opposite. In this case, the opposite would literally be For Biden, from which you can get Forbidden.

    Back to you anchorm4n

Sigh.. why do some of you want to kill this thread?

Happy to give a clue if it's needed. I just haven't given one since a guess / prompt hasn't been posted.

To clarify further. The wording on Pack Leader is very important.

Take the example of Alleycat which reads "Battlecry: Summon a 1/1 Cat". Pack Leader reads "Whenever you summon a Beast, give it +3 Attack", so it triggers first since it's whenever and not after. When Khadgar activates, as far as he knows, the Alleycat has summoned a 4/1 Tabbycat since the Pack Leader has already taken effect during the summoning (that's why it is crucial that Pack Leader's text is whenever). As a result, Khadgar will trigger the summoning of another 4/1, which will in turn be buffed by Pack Leader into a 7/1.

This is my understanding of the interaction, and I'm unsure if the devs have clarified this anywhere online. I agree that when you think about it for a second, it seems odd since Khadgar doesn't "copy" the minion, but causes another summon to take place. Hopefully this has helped somewhat!

When you play a Beast with Khadgar / Pack Leader in play, the initial Beast summoned is buffed by Pack Leader and then Khadgar creates a copy, which is then buffed again. Ie. Alley Cat + Pack Leader = two 4/1s. Alley Cat + Pack Leader + Khadgar = two 4/1s and two 7/1s. Same story with Rat Pack. Each Rat is buffed by Pack Leader before Khadgar summons a copy which is buffed in turn.

TLDR; the Pack Leader buff happens before Khadgar summons a copy.

Very general pepper, but I'm really enjoying playing the new solo adventure! The rhyming does grow a little tedious, but I find myself actually shouting "GO, GO" at the characters in my head ... and aloud ...

Yey! Since I love 'em, here's a wee cryptic crossword clue for you all:

Not for sitting president, then a Spanish hundred inside small insect.

    This.

Couldn't have put it better. I find your point about keeping certain imagery / ideas public, whether or not it was intended, does memorialise, glorify and preserve their message for generations that may no longer feel connected to those same ideas.

Ding ding ding! Nice one! Over to you anchorm4n

    For an explanation:

It's a shame there's no room -- Stablemaster hardly saw any play.

In most decks for a groom -- She 'grooms' beasts.

My brother, perhaps -- Her flavour text references her brother...

Could have helped set some traps? -- 'Traps' indicating that this was a Hunter card.

Oh no, wait... He's relapsed -- ... Her brother's name is jokingly given as 'unstablemaster', hence the idea of him relapsing.

None of those I'm afraid. I've just gone back through the guesses and have realised that the correct answer has been mentioned, but not given as a proper guess.

    I'm stuck on 2, 13, 14, and 15, but I can help with 9.

This card has already become a higher rank in the royal family.

Edit: Just worked out 15. Very clever.

You are just the kind of guy we tried to get away from.

I wholly agree Shivershine. This community is wonderful; Nifty, the fact that I care enough about the people here to comment in a Runeterra forum should tell you just how much I value keeping this place fun, peppery, and free from trolls.

Back to my original post, you've absolutely proven me correct. You point out that I'm mad about line spacing, which I do indeed reference in the first and last lines of my post, and is annoying. However, the bulk of what I wrote was about you and your character. Your latest posts indicate a pattern of stand-offishness, being argumentative, not wanting to engage with criticism, dismissing those who disagree with you, and elevating your own self to a position of authority, a position you do not have. I don't need your pity. I don't need your hugs. I need you to understand why we engage with your post-spacing and your tone rather than your ideas.

I will continue to pop my head in on your threads. Hopefully, it'll be to watch your progress in engaging with the community and consist of me posting about how I now play Runeterra and find your insight valuable and interesting. For now though, I hope these two posts have been food for thought.

The "Cork Shot" is the deal 2 damage part, like when you open a bottle of wine or champagne with too much force and the cork randomly hits someone  in the face. The "Wine Shot" is the part where you drink the wine and laughs at the one who got "Cork Shoted".

That makes perfect sense, thanks for clarifying! I hope I am never on the receiving end of a cork shot, that's for sure.

Mate, I don't even play Runeterra but I do check the forums regularly. Your stubborn insistence on maintaining the same spacing despite numerous comments is childish. Furthermore, your refusal to recognise and engage with criticism that references your arrogant, know-it-all tone is narcissistic. Stop speaking in an authoritative tone and start using a thoughtful, inquisitive one. Rather than stating that something is obvious, say that it has happened a lot to you whilst playing. Not everyone has the same games or experiences. Rather than listing your (in-)correct predictions to show off and ego-rub, engage with others here and discuss how the meta has changed. By listing as you have you invite challenges and criticism rather than disagreement and discussion. Rather than dismissing KANSAS and Shivershine and trying to redirect the discussion, apologise and change - it's fine, no one will hurt you if you do. If anything, people will be more willing to engage with what you write if you recognise, apologise, and, most importantly, CHANGE.

Apologies to everyone for the rant, I needed this off my chest because this poster has hit a couple of nerves over the last few days. And Nifty129, even if you continue to post as you do about Runeterra, please, for the love of all that is good, stop taking up 50% of a page to do so.
