They are just trying to get every single bit of money in the scummiest way possible before going down, don't defend the undefendable, please.
Let the game die, go play gwent, LoR, mtga or any other card game, they are worth your time and money much more than this cash grab game, Blizzard got the lowest the have ever been, they are not even trying to hide their plans from us, using every psychological trick in the book: FOMO, frontloaded rewards then slow going, etc.
They've added several F2P-friendly formats (Battlegrounds, Duels), and will be adding another new mode before the end of the Year of the Phoenix
this statement can't be further from the truth.. the pass for battlegrounds gives you an insane advantage 2-> 4 hero picks.. when some heroes are busted are, not to mention how broken are some heroes on release, having early access to them before they are nerfed is a huge advantage...

Another day, another decision that doesn't make ANY sense from Bli$$ard, this bundle is so dumb.. I don't even.. why are the packs not from the NEW expansion?
I already knew, I am only commenting on everything I did so that the experience I had, when telling it has coherence.
The main issue I have is that still, even if they shared a pity timer, I didn't get the first guaranteed one on the first ten packs.
I mean, I'm not complaining just with the bundle and 15 more pack I've gotten 6 legendaries, which of course could be better, but it's RNG even with the packs, so I'm ok with it.
So this is something that's actually wrong and people should point it out..
The pity timer set at 30 for the first 10 packs is something Blizzard STATED to be true... if there's a bug preventing it IT'S A PROBLEM! Hope people who experienced it will be compensated in any way, you should bug report it, it's probably cause the new reward system somehow messed up with the pity timer.
Until there's like video proof of it it will always be speculative at best.
I think its likely a bug, along with the deluge of bugs that has only been increasing ever since battlegrounds was added, made worst in the past week by the new progression system.
Can't see why blizz would actively remove it. Most players will never reach the 40 pack timer to get their legendary, so its mostly going to upset whales, and we all know that's the last thing blizz needs on their plate right now. Besides which, its something that can be demonstrated, so hiding it would be near impossible. So if they can't hide it, and its not really affecting the majority of the playerbase, and its not going to make them more money, there's just no reason to believe this as anything other than an unintentional bug.

There was no guaranteed way to check just that statistics at some scale just tell the actual probabilities if enough data is provided and seeing as most players get rewards much slower and don't actually track what they get.. anyway if you keep playing it would be best if you kept a counter about your pity timer if we see more players reporting it's absence or posting similar results from Blizzard it would confirm it was intentionally removed.
I Know some streamers (Solem, Zeddy, Dexter) complained about low amounts of legendaries in their pre-order packs,
Also saw a few posts about 100+ packs with 2 legendaries..
It seems Blizzard also removed the pity timer.. it wasn't never officially stated to be there but proven statistically.
Looking as everyone would be focused on the new reward system they sneakily removed that safety net of course it's speculation but it makes sense looking at those use cases.. they could at ANY TIME change their pack distribution and nobody would notice..

I understand that some of the Duels content is gated by collecting Scholomance and Darkmoon Faire cards, and that the format allows you to choose cards from old sets, but it's completely ridiculous to suggest that you can't complete all of your quests for free in Duels. Most of the quests are just "Play 3 games as [Class A], [Class B], or [Class C]" - all of which are trivial to complete in Duels, even if you lose each game - and many of the other ones are things like "Play X [Tribal minions]" or "Play X cards that [meet cost criteria]". It's honestly incredibly easy to do all* of your quests for free in duels.
I get that Duels isn't as fun when you don't have full access to the hero powers and starting treasures, or when you're missing an old card that would really make your deck better. But your initial deck is only 15 cards - it doesn't need to be some optimal list made up of Wild format cards in order to have a decent time playing.
*"All" here obviously ignores the "challenge a friend" type quests

Blizzard is intentionally making everyone mad so when they fix their problem:
1. they get money they wanted from people who don't care/are too addicted to care.
2. People are so grateful for "their kindness and generosity" after they fix the problem.
3.They want to know how far they can go with their greed.

I didn't quit for a lot of things other people decided to quit: balance, China incident, boring expansions(I deem this expansion boring btw), burning out, disappointing balance, bad metas, not having a deck to play NOPE kept playing,
Probably cause of sunken cost and sunken time (preordered 4 expansions, 2 small bundles I think.. an adventure, and a starter bundle over 6 years), Also for the feeling of missing out(FOMO) , on new expansions, monthly card back (Didn't miss any since October 2014), since I started studying I am mostly F2P managed to keep up with dailies and previews dust.. (had a lot of dust in extra commons which I didn't dust).
I was hoping for this reward rework + achievements that was the thing I was looking forward to and why I kept playing, I didn't expect this to be a worse system, anyway the more I read about this incident and previous ones the more I am mad about the stuff I didn't quit for

I haven't spent any money on the game, and I have 3 pretty top tier decks:Dragonbane Hunter, Ramp Dragon Druid and Lifesteal Demon Hunter, all of which have a legendary. I'm honestly not bothered by all of this

I am close to the card back, didn't complete the Seraphine last quest though also I don't have the pass so I just need to get until there anyway.
I need to play ranked and stop spamming bots like the casual I am :D
Edit: 219/240 for card back, 6 days left, got a 10 hearts quest.. so just complete that quest and complete the repetable quest 2 more times
