Baron Rivendare -> upgraded Wicked Shipment -> Tamsin's Phylactery selecting Kobold Sandtrooper's Deathrattle -> Rain of Fire

I can already hear the "Alright deck intro time".

My god, her spot is awkward. Doesn't advance Questlock that well, the AoE counteracts Zoolock's ability to get on the board... and I kinda like it. Yes, it's a Duskbreaker Battlecry + Nourish draw which is the components for a broken card when on 6 mana and yet, since those effects are such polar opposites, they work out in balancing the card (for today's standards at least).

I wouldn't say this is an auto-include for any Rogue deck: for instance, Garrote Rogue likes cheap Battlecries that let Field Contact draw cards and SI:7 Rogue wants to find its SI:7 to complete the Quest. Neither wants to be staring at a 7-Cost Hero that could have been something cheaper. I do like it, a lot, though, and think it could potentially do some busted stuff once that Hero Power gets rolling.

Well yeah, but then again, this is a board wipe on a deck that needs board wipes. Also, the Hero Power gives your Field Contact extra draws without needing Shadowstep. Shadowcrafter Scabbs reminds me of Loatheb as the tempo bomb played the turn before you go for lethal that also doubles as a last minute board clear if you're far away for Bleeding your opponent to death.

At first I was like "Wow, nice stats, shame it sucks overall because it's a slow clunky card like most Paladin ones" and then I noticed the Rush. Yeah, this one is good. Also, I thought Rush was more of a Hunter/Warrior/DH keyword.

It trades Zilliax's Lifesteal for additional flexibility

Zilliax was the epitomy of flexibility, which Ivus, the Forest Lord is not, the same way Siamat is not. Ivus can be as flexible only if you're lucky. Or you have 7 mana leftover as Druid after playing a big chungus beforehand.

Will the battlecry count for honorable kill, or do you have to attack? If it counts, well, a 5-mana 6/6 that removes something might be decent, otherwise this is trash.

Honorable kill works on Battlecry, yes. It also works on attack, so Knight-Captain can effectively grow infinite (as long as the opponent has a 12 HP minion, 15 HP minion and so on).

Rogue doesn't just need good Deathrattles, they need good 2 mana Deathrattles. Deathrattles are slow by nature and, on curve, Snowfall Graveyard is a turn 3 skip into turn 4 slow card. So effectively, without a good 2 mana Deathrattle to immediately activate, Snowfall Graveyard's effect lasts for 1(!) turn if played on curve.

I can't find a reason to ever like this card. It will either be insanely broken or insanely useless and I don't like either. Hell, even Invigorating Sermon looks more intersting.

And no, Dude Paladin won't really want this card. Not only because the best Dude Paladin right now is Quest Paladin (which would rather try to finish the quest on turn 4 than pass it), but because Dude Paladin is just a worse Taunt Druid which can't highroll as hard. And even if the right support comes for that deck (which would probably be in the form of a broken 1 drop), I really hope Dun Baldar Bridge doesn't make the cut.

I remember an interview a while ago where a dev (I think it was the weekly AMA guy, don't remember his name) said that their design philosophy regarding big mana cards changing from essentialy being big mana cards to big mana win conditions. Lightforged Cariel is such a card. Not only because of the soft AoE (which can be set-up with Equality or Libram of Justice the turn before to be much more impactful), but because the Hero Power makes it so it's much harder to remove their minions (and everyone should know how dangerous it is to leave a minion on board against a Paladin) combined with an anti-combo weapon that also works as a makeshift free Hunter hero power.

This is the Control wet dream and yet somehow feels balanced, because unlike other win conditions the game has introduced over these last expansions, Lightforged Cariel can actually be countered by somthing other than finishing the game before she's played.

So, a sometimes better Dragonmaw Scorcher, then. Well, I guess Warlocks will be good in Arena.

That awkward moment when Warrior only has one Frost spell and is already closer to the Freeze Warrior dream and Freeze Shaman ever was...

I suppose the trick here is that Defile on 2 or 3 is way more impactful than Defile on 5, when the 1 damage breakpoints are harder to line up.

I don't think I've ever seen a Defile being played on turn 2. The power of the card came from being able to use the rest of your mana to play minions or spells to line up for the Defile clear. If you see the need to play Defile on 2 it's because your opponent blarted his entire hand against a Warlock that played nothing on 1 and therefore, wasn't a zoo-lock.

Spammy Arcanist has a very different role: trying to be the board clear in a class without those. And right now, I don't feel the Control Hunter/ Control Druid dream.

Silly T5, games never reach 10 mana and you're giving us a card trying to sell the 20 mana dream?

Now seriously, I would love the design much more if Wildheart Guff didn't mean more solitaire "I win" bull*s-word*. Because lets face it: as much fun as the dream of putting more than one big chunk of stats per turn from your hand is, Druid is still a combo class and Wildheart Guff will be treated as the alternative for when Lady Anacondra gets discarded by Fungal Fortunes.

Warden of Chains reminds me of Twilight Guardian, in the sense that Warden of Chains is also a big beefy guy that combats early aggression. However, there's one big difference between the two: Twilight Guardian has other dragons to curve into him, while Warden of Chains doesn't, due to the nature of Big DH. That's why that 4 mana 3/6 Taunt was better than this 4 mana 3/8 Taunt. That and the massive powercreep, but that's another issue.

Warden of Chains is a good anti aggro tool for Big DH, I just feel there's something else missing.

Honestly, the Darkshire Councilman is not a very good one, because there is a huge difference between summoning minions and killing them. You could play a Darkshire Councilman on an empty board on 3 and expect him to rise to relevancy on 4 with any card, you can't do it as easily with Flag Runner, you need exactly the Rushing tokens.

There is one exception, though, and that is Sigil of Summoning, which curves way too well into Flag Runner. So, if the 2/2 statline becomes more impactful (the meta has too many 3 Health early game minions right now, though), Flag Runner will probably see play.

And if you're extra lucky, you'll also get a Cariel skin.

The only thing that I was thinking of to be different was that when you land on a mystery tile, it could give you a choice between multiple outcomes, and you get more choices the deeper you get in a map, and one option will always be a Boon (with the class chosen at random). So, if you land on a mystery tile within four steps from the start it gives you two choices: a random boon, then one of Stranger, Healer, Potato, or Sabotage. Then later tiles give you a choice from a Boon, then two of Stranger, Healer, Potato, Sabotage, or Portal.

That's an interesting way to make RETs more varied with the current resources, but it does have its limitations, mostly on how possible that is. For example, if I go and have a walk in the park, I can't decide whether to turn that park into a beach when I arrive there. Turning what would be a Sabotage into a Portal, for example, seems too much like dimensional travel which is weird when you're scavenging a desert, for example. There is potential there, though. For example, you step into a tile and it teleports you to another mini-map with extra challenges and rewards, for example. Like a Trap made by the Burning Legion, for example (I don't know much about WoW lore, don't know if that's something they'd do).

All in all, I still want to thank both you and @sinti for the feedback and say that I only came up with one new idea of a small disadvantageous event:

    • Refreshing Spring Water?! -> Your team came across a lake in the middle of nowhere. Being very thirsty from travelling, they immediately start drinking to their heart's content. It's a shame they didn't notice the sign that says "Danger! Stamina draining organisms in the water. Do not drink it!". Your team will be 2 Speed slower the next combat.

PS: Fun fact, the AMBUSH!!! event was based on the Pokémon Mystery Dungeon series' Monster Houses. Now if you'll excuse me, I'm off to blindly walk into that room filled with Gummies.
