Maybe, since Paladins used to play with Murlocs for a while, will be the class for Finley?

And since Mage was the only class of the four using the singleton archetype that showed up in the first place with Reno, will be the ones to get him?

The other two seem logical, though. And if the next expansion is half as good as LoE was, we're going to have some fun days ahead.

The reason they introduced Standard and Wild in the first place was, among other things, to allow classes to do something different for a certain amount of time. For example, Hunters had difficulty generating value, so lets give them DK Rexxar for a year and a half, let them wear that hat for a while (I know, Hunter have a LOT of value nowadays but that wasn't the case before).

The post they made to describe class identity was literally a way for them to spit on that idea. Quite frankly, if they go through with it, there is a chance that the rotation cycles will no longer feel special because the classes will be forced to play the same way, just with different cards.

In the meantime, a rotating classic set (for example) which would allow them much more freedom to tweak with classes for a period is something that eludes them. Not only that, the fact that the dust and gold systems continue being outdated and extremely detrimental to new players is also ignored.

MTGA is a more expensive game than Hearthstone and even they allow for a F2P guy like me to get pretty much every deck I want without the fear of crafting cards and getting them from packs later. HS only allows that for Legendary minions. Meanwhile, I crafted one Jumbo Imp so I could have two to try a Demonlock deck and I got two extras as my two following epic drops from RoS. By doing stuff like that, they maybe make a small percentage of whales spend an extra 100$/€ on packs for that extra golden legendary but, guess what, they were already going to do that.

What will also happen is people who decide to sometimes spend money on pack promotions feel like their money won't mean as much if half the epics you get are extras while you never get the two copies of the cool yet terrible card you just want to have fun with.

PS: Yeah, the last two paragraphs were mostly unrelated rant filled with confirmation bias, but those greedy business practices of treating costumers like cash registers really annoy me. And this "class identity" speech really reeks of the greedy business practice.

Couldn't it also achieve the same as mind blast, given that you have effects such as Embrace the Shadow? With less mana, though you need the healing to damage activator.

It can only target your own face, not your opponent's. So no

Pretty decent. Technicaly it can be viewed as infinite value, although that is way too unreliable.

The design is interesting, and not too overpowered, but I am sad they didn't to for another discard theme card to replace Doomguard. I like it.

EDIT: It also makes Bane of Doom better, which is a plus.

So, an 8 mana randomly generated Questing Adventurer then. I'm guessing they wanted more unreliability on the 8 mana slot as far as generation goes. When Evolve like cards were first introduced, the 8 mana slot was the go to for powerful reliability.

So bad it's not even worth the Epic card status. Even when considering the high roll potencial it has.

By far the best card of all reveals. But killing only one secret when the opponent has the full Christmas Tree online is still unreliable, allowing them to keep printing other anti Secret stuff. I like it.

Duh. Of course I played well. I'm High Inquisitor White-freaking-mane just doesn't have the same ring to it. Still better than Kel'Thuzad in my opinion, though. You know, because it's cheaper and when Kel'Thuzad lived for more than one turn, you had the game won regardless.

On the niche scenario where 2 Saps aren't enough to clear big boys and you have the little boys, it can be useful. If only the Priest card was also like this... a reasonably bad card that can provide something in niche scenarios...

So.... Blessing of the Ancients is a 6 mana +2/+2... which means giving Taunt to your board and losing the Twinspell versatility costs 2 mana. Seems fair.

This could have been the perfect time to introduce a new board clear, focused only on damage, unlike Holy Nova. I get the reasoning behind the design, but when they feel the need to print a powerful AoE for Priest every year to compensate for how weak Holy Nova is as a control tool, it really makes me question the whole design process. And when you compare this card to Flash Heal, boy, it sure makes Radiance look extra weak.

EDIT: Oh, and one if the weaknesses they described for Paladin was direct damage, the same class that has Holy Wrath, you know, the card with the most potencial direct damage of all time. They could have made a low power damage spell, despite being a class weakness. I mean, one of Druid's weaknesses is AoE and they have Swipe, which CAN act as AoE. Why not do something like that for Priest? Something like, of the top of my head:

4 mana - deal 4 damage. If you target a friendly minion, heal for the same amount. OR deal 4 damage. If you target a demon, deal double that amount (kinda like an exorcism).

You know those kinds of games where you just want to play as much as possible to the point where you literally throw the game on purpose? Just had one of those:

EDIT: And yes, my Zoo-locks tend to be way too greedy.

So, I'm playing Mech Pally vs. Mech Hunter. I decided to go super greedy here by not playing anything until a turn 5 Glowstone Technician, since he had a slow start. Turn 6 arrived and I completely roled the board around, ending up with tow giant mechs, one with taunt, and him with no board. On the downside, I was at 9 Health.

His turn 6 and 7 were slow which allowed me to draw 3 cards with a topdecked Countess Ashmore on turn 8 while trying to solidify a board state. He then pulled off a Venomizer + Missile Launcher combo on his turn 8, leaving me with 3 Health. On my turn 9, I was forced to Kangor's Endless Army my 2 mechs so I could have a fighting chance. On his turn 9, he topdecks Bomb Toss. Again, I was at 3 and he saw me draw 3 cards with Ashmore, so he should know I had Zilliax in hand. BUT! He played his entire hand before playing Bomb Toss, leaving him no leftover mana to Hero Power me to death.

Now, I don't know if that was just BM or of the guy was just that bad, but boy it felt good to lifesteal myslef out of lethal range and see him forfeit the next turn.

PS: I know mulliganing my Consecration ended up being a bad play, but in my head, if he started strong, I had a turn 2 2/5 to fight the board, hence me mulliganing it.

To be fair, although this site is older than expected, I can assume Flux (and you guys) only started working on it full time recently, maybe using it more as a testing ground for implementing stuff on Hpwn itself. In fact, one of the things that I'm still not used to there is the fact that, when I want to quote someone on my post, I click quote and don't actually see the quote on my post. If I just want to answer one line in a 50 page post, I have to first answer with everything and only then edit out the fluff I don't need. I suppose that also happens here right now though, but there is still a lot of room for change while in beta.

"God f***ing damnit!". Shout this and move on. Unless there are people around and in that case I shout internally.

About a decade ago, in my early teens, I moderated over a portuguese Pokémon forum. There were plenty of brazillian portuguese forums around, but that forum was the biggest from Portugal. That sweet spot in the "pokémon forum market" made the forum very populated for a pokemon forum (not at serebii or smogon levels of usage, but pretty much every single portuguese player was there and even a lot of brazillian users ended up in there).

Eventually, between all the moderator drama or people literally outgrowing from Pokémon, other portuguese forums were created by ex-mods and very old members, branching out the users, and the forum died. But since so many forums were created, no forum rose from the ashes and, as far as I know, there is no portuguese Pokémon forum alive today. My interest in Pokémon eventually died down as well, between the fact that no meta came even close to being as good as the 4th gen meta and me finding other games.

The fact that you picked up all the old HeathPwn staff is great. It means no overbranching issues at the very least. I might still go there from time to time, but I hope I eventually just stay here.

You never insulted anyone on the salt thread. The closest you made to an infraction was spamming... and even that was permitted.

There was just way too much unnecessary backlash at you. Other people, however, actively insulted others and wished for the death of people because they were playing a children's card game differently and no backlash was given to them.

You just be yourself. Maybe moderate a little, but if the salt rises, the salt thread will be there :)

My IGN used to be Sabido everywhere (still is whenever I start a Pokémon fan-made game). However, after the 2010 World Cup, where Portugal (where I'm from) lost to Spain, and after a friend of mine convinced me to start playing League of Legends, I made an account with Sabido and, when they asked me for my summoner name (why we need an account name and a different summoner name baffles me) I remembered how salty my friend was after that game (he takes the whole Portugal-Spain rivalry way too seriously), so I "spain-ianized" my IGN from Sabido to El Sabidón. Sadly, HS or this forum/HPwn don't allow spaces in the nicknames, nor do they allow for the ´ symbol, so I use ElSabidon in that scenario.

I've played a bit of handbuff Mech Pally with Glowstone Technician. Really like the deck though i'm surprised people keep including SN1P-SN4P in it. It just seems to make Kangor's Endless Army worse. Also played a bit of [Hearthstone Card (Pogo-Rogue) Not Found] but the deck I've played the most is my Control Overload Shaman with Murloc Value generation.

Played mostly against Mech Hunter and the thing I noticed (on ranks 6-8) is that people like to play multiple SN1P-SN4Ps on just one mech. That's fine by me, I'm running silence on every deck right now (some decks with double silence) and it sure eases my job to counter it. I feel SN1P-SN4P will only be on the very good/broken scale when people realize they can Magnetize to different minions.
