As the poster above says, Wild is a much better place for Control decks as they have access to all the early board clears that have existed over the years. The first week or so of a new expansion is all fast decks, people quickly jump on the fastest 'busted' meta deck and spam that. You always see a lot of face hunter straight after an expansion as people try to farm the players experimenting with their new cards.
I have a golden Speaker Gidra, very nice it is. I also had a golden Turalyon, the Tenured but I dusted it as I can't see that being played any time soon outside of the really bad duel paladin. The art on the golden version wasn't even that good.
I also have a golden Professor Slate and that's on the watch list for being dusted lol
I thought Blizzard were trying to appeal to a greater audience and draw people in. Not actively encourage them to leave. When is that Reddit AMA again?
I'll tell you what doesn't work (and I have seen it more than once) is druids playing Embiggen and then wondering why Guardian Animals doesn't work. Makes me giggle :)
I have opened 198 Packs + 5 Golden and I am still missing 7 Legendarys to complete the set (although I have dust for two and I haven't disenchanted the golden extras yet).
I've been playing a beast druid I made and I have been having lots of success. Lost a couple though, one in particular to Soul Mirror.
I've seen lots of Temp/Buff priests so far and Libram Paladins. I wouldn't anything is bad though. The one thing I have noticed so far is just how "swingy" the games are but that might be just the deck I am playing.
I definitely think Lady in White should be on the list, people were losing their shit over that card.
"Casting Inner Fire on your WHOLE deck, wtf were Blizzard thinking!!!!"
As it turns out the card was so exceptionally slow that it was utterly worthless. Even when you played it on curve it was rubbish and if you didn't draw it till late all you had were high health/low damage minions.
I tell myself every expansion that I will save my pack opening for launch day and here I am waiting for my private event to start because I'm just a big kid and can't wait :D
Not really the point though is it, OP was simply suggesting the art doesn't fit with the theme of a shaman (Human shaman isn't even a thing in wow). Whether the card is mechanically sound wasn't the argument.
As others have said its massively over costed, if it was able to attack again after killing something that would be ok so 8 mana remove 4 things but this is guaranteed to be one of my golden legendarys as its terrible!
It's always hard to gauge a cards power level before the whole expansion launches and the meta settles (hello Lady in White) but this does seem incredibly powerful.
I didn't have any deck ideas to test him in. I didn't lose anything and can craft him later if I do.
Not really lucky, two of them were the pre-order bonuses. One was luck though :D
I have only ever crafted one golden legendary and that was Whizzbang!

I got 4 packs. I didn't need any cards but free dust is always appreciated.

Expensive game! :)

Same, both EU and US.

Still waiting for my 2 in 1 pack!
135 packs + 5 Golden
10 legendaries
Star Student Stelina
Forest Warden Omu
Mozaki, Master Duelist
Ras Frostwhisper
Lord Barov
Turalyon, the Tenured (Golden)
Disciplinarian Gandling
Instructor Fireheart
Sphere of Sapience
Lorekeeper Polkelt
37 Epics
Plus all the rares and commons
Pleased with the haul. There is also 3 more legendaries to come on launch day, 2 of them golden so I am hoping for High Abbess Alura.

Same, it's like that bloody dress all over again.

Most people that play collectable card games?
This is the card I want to get as one of my golden legendarys as this is a prime candidate for the nerf bat! What an absolutely insane condition.
