I just want to ask this: when facing shamans, what was your strategy? Go face or fight for the board?
This is just out of curiosity, since I stopped playing standard when this event came out - was facing too many resurrect priests and I'm so glad they are almost nonexistent in wild nowadays...
I thought about that some time ago. It would be a nice idea. IMO, I think it wouldn't be troublesome to be implemented.
The nicest thing about it is that the meta wouldn't be so stale and if some sort of busted deck appears, then it would be gone as soon as the rotation hits; no need for nerfs...
@Painkiller1724 She makes your cheaper totems more threatening? Wonder if there's her value in Wild.
Edit: Sorry, I have problems replying on the phone, so the comment is not aligned with yours.
Yes, she really does, but only when they stick on board (in other words, almost never, lol). Maybe Totemic Might could keep them 1 or 2 more turns alive, but I didn't have the balls to change my deck. I use 2 Totemic Surge instead - this spell is very effective!!

My experience in wild with her is just ok. I've been playing it in an Even Shaman, but more focused in big minions like Flamewreathed Faceless and Fireguard Destroyer.
The ideal scenario for her is when played with a swarming kind of deck. But, these decks don't see much play in wild, since small minions don't stick.
I can't tell you about Standard, though. Probably she may be more useful. But I don't know if I would craft her, since Shaman is in the right spot for the next nerf wave...
I don't think LoR will surpass HS, since, IMO, one of the most brilliant feature of it is the simple gameplay. On your turn, you play minions, cast some spells and try to destroy your opponent. Then you wait your opponent's turn. Straightforward.
And also, it has another advantage over MtG, that it's mobile friendly.
What I think that will happen is that many MtG newcomers will switch to LoR (since they won't have to catch up the old stuff) and they might grab some HS players that, like me, miss more in-game micromanagement, like in MtG, and at the same time, can do it in a cell phone...
I definitely will use Flamewaker to stir things up! I have had it with all those quest decks and Aggro Priest. It is time Mage reclaims its rightful position: at tier 1! Be prepared to be finished off by fireballs and ragnarosses! Not to mention the potential of Sorcerer Apprentice icm with a Luna and this card to just gun them all down in one turn.
Or a Flamewalker being followed by a puzzle box? Do these spells count as well?
Unfortunately (or fortunately, for your opponent) they don't count... only the Puzzle Box counts as 1 spell
But flamewalker will definitely be a good addition to mage, though I don't know if it will be enough to bring it back to a competitive level. But one thing is sure: those who love casino mage (like me) will have tons of fun.
There is a new cancer from 5 up, that's Sn1p-Sn4p/Mecha'Thun combo.... if you like playing Reno decks, like me, then you'll find a hard time against it, since they run at least 3 different combos in it and can trample you as soon as turn 6.
About hand-buff paladin, it is beatable with Reno decks...
I feel that the first version wouls be very strong in general, not just anti-Reno. It potentially denies opponent's draw three times and would be frustrating to play against. I like the summoning version better (with maybe 4/3 statline), but if you really wanted just anti-reno, maybe you could add "Draw a card." to a do nothing card, plus 1 health, or +1 spell damage (since it's a mage, some flavour, also Ogre Magi stats :) )
But, as stated above, this makes people search for ways to counter it and, in some ways, this is good since we can breath some fresh air instead of the old odd paladin/big priest meta. (Though I fear this one will regain its popularity if Reno decks start increasing in numbers).
IMO, the best decks to counter secret mages are indeed reno decks, since they can heal and stall the game frequently.
Also, as RavenSunHS stated, running secret techs in all sort of decks may ruin your gameplan (especially if you are playing an aggro deck) and sometimes, they just doesn't work properly...
Is he worth putting nowadays in a Reno deck? I mean, I never seen this dude being played lately and I think that on turn 9 you probably already played your other demons.
What are your thoughts? I'm asking cause I got one and I'm excited by playing Renolock again..
I tried an even deck more focused on elementals. On paper, it looked awesome, but not when playing on ladder, it was too slow against aggro decks and had no late firepower.
Maybe this version can be less frustrating. Now that I crafted N'Zoth (thanks to dozens of extra arms and conjurer's calling), I'll give it a try!
So, can anybody explain me what is this "Hearthstone Battlegrounds" included in the bundle pre-order?
Really good
Another tool for Maly druid
A couple more years of Malygos Druid.
That's so refreshing!!
Hey man!
Congrats on your legend!

Will there be key drops in the next alfa/test phase (november)?
+1
I just wanted to check out standard after some months only playing wild... all I see is this degenerate N'Zoth priest...
So... back to wild. At least here big priest is gone!
Unfortunately (or fortunately, for your opponent) they don't count... only the Puzzle Box counts as 1 spell

Maybe Quest mage can appear on the ladder with [Hearthstone Card (Flamewalker) Not Found] coming back to standard?
I dare to say that this expansion is the most impactful in the last couple of years, regarding wild. Every week there are new deck ideas. I like it.
Guys, forget about secret mage

Good luck with that...
Or maybe shuffle cards in BOTH decks?
Exactly!
Secret mage is shaping the wild meta.

Nice deck, man!
'Cause priest is doomed to be an eternal slow-combo hero. Period.
I was having lots of fun with aggro priests in wild (not this stupid combo in standard), with things like Shadowbomber, Shadow Ascendant, Spawn of Shadows and Kobold Sandtrooper, but i don't even dare to try it again with Extra Arms at 3...
