There are 2 requests I'd be glad to see, regarding the Cards page:

1 - List the cards as pictures, not as text (or at least include an option to enable this)

2 - If above isn't possible, at least include the card's cost in the grid

Thanks and keep up the great work on this site!!

    Congrats on Legend, dude!

I have just caught this thread so I'm a bit confused. In your last post you said you removed the Eater but it is listed (as far as I can see now).

About secret mage, I think if you can heal in mid game, you can stabilize, so the Healbot is really important. Also sometimes you can magnetize Zilliax on him, have you tried this one? At least he can heal you for 3 in the worst case scenario...

If someday I get this quest, I'll definitely try your deck!!

My impression between ranks 10-4 was about the same as yours. Secret Mage is the new cockroach... I suspect that BP players got tired of it and adhered to this new plague. The problem is that we have to tech against it, losing one, or even two cards in our deck, even when not playing a control deck.

I think people are sleeping on Reno decks, for two reasons: 1 - BP and other anti-control decks are more sparse now and 2 - Zephrys is THAT good! And, since secret mage is not so aggresive in early game, Reno decks may get the tools to withstand the burst power of those fireballs and Cloud Princes.

About secret mage, I was so sad when I opened hsreplay.net and found that it represented more then 20% of all archetypes. Since I try to climb with my homebrews, I crafted Aluneth as soon as the new secret synergy cards were revealed (I couldn't guess everybody would do the same). So I stopped playing it (hate mirror matches) and I'm now experimenting some other stuff. FYI, I climbed from 10 to 4 with an even pirate Rogue, but it wasn't enough to beat Secret Mage nor Reno decks. I was trying (and having fun with) some aggro priests but it was just a brief summer dream due to the Extra-Arms unbuff (Thanks, DS/IF misconception!!!)

My next experiment will probably be even (totem/overload/jade) shaman. OP, how is it performing? I still didn't play with it since I have to save some dust for the new weapon that copies the totems (BTW, did you try this weapon? Is it good enough?)

I don't think extra arms nerf will hit so hard the combo itself (since IF/DS were kept untouched)

But it will definitely make any sort of aggro/tempo priest unfeasible... that's a shame

I've been having tons of fun with some aggro decks in wild in which turn 2 Extra Arms or Shadow Ascendant was probably the most important step...

In the end, Priest will be brought back to it's original place - either a degenerate/broken combo, or dumpster....

    Back to unplayable! Hooray!

    Exactly!!

     I think it'd be fair at 6...

Maybe it's just my own bias speaking, but I'm kinda sad to see this card go. Post-buff, this was one of my favorite cards from Boomsday and I had a lot of fun with it. RIP

I agree. I really liked the buff to it. But now that Priest FINALLY got early game minions that are playable, it's way too snowball-y.

    Also agreed on that.

I think this unbuff was unfair

I think the same as you, guys... it won't affect BP at all... at least, I think the % of BP players has dropped a little (just a hunch, I have no statistics on it, but just what I perceive playing the ladder).

But now, there is another cockroach in Wild.... that's secret mage

    My humble opinion:

Luna's - back to uselessness (should be 6, not 7)

Extra Arms - One of the few useful buffs for priest. I think it was unfair. Just because SOMETIMES they get a 3/5 cleric at turn 2... As above, back to uselessness...

Barnes - Really? Now? Only after 2 years? After BP players stopped using it and playing that insane secret/Aluneth mage??? It won't affect resurrect priest at all.

The other 2 (conjurer's and Boom), I think these were fair changes

The weirdest thing about this to me is that they are discussing work related stuff in the battle net chat.

I don't think it was unintentional. IMO, I think it was done on purpose to assess the community reaction and, maybe, have some sort of feedback on what they would do.

IMO, hitting Extra Arms would be a stupid move. Priest is barely played with only one good competitive deck in standard.

Do you think this was due to being played in wild?

I say that because I played two matches yesterday with singleton Hunter (standard) and the opponents had secrets in play and in both occasions, he offered me the Infiltrator... (in one of these instances I was about to kill the opponent anyway)

    That's weird anyway

    Great job!!

But I prefer the terms aggro, midrange and control, since they sound less misleading.

So, I tried to play something like this last season. My experience is that, in the end, you'll have a board full of weak minions, so, a good option would be to include Bloodlust as a finisher. This is like a token deck.

Also, I tried the Valiant but he is too slow, although his effect is cool. In my experience, just one was enough.

Stormcaller is another cool card that will never have the effect triggered (just think about this: you'll need to have the four basic totems and, at most, just one more minion on your side, otherwise, he won't have space to summon Al'Akir). I also tried him and he just doesn't work (btw, mine is a golden one, but I'll never dust him!!)

Another great option is Maelstrom Portal, since your small minions will suffer against other aggro decks.

Also consider the great tips by RavenSun.

The thing is: Like you, I enjoy building conceptual decks, but if you don't like losing so much, you'll have to make some pragmatic changes. (I.e. if you are playing casual, this deck will be a joy, but in ranked, you'll eventually be frustrated to lose so much).

Let us know how was your experience!!

A question from a player who would like to get into Wild. Are Subject 9 and Zilliax any good in the format?

As you can imagine from the question, I'm trying to think about my crafts in a long time perspective, so I'd like to hear some experience player's opinion.

It depends in your objectives: Are you trying to climb HIGH ranks? If yes don't waste your dust, look for some super-aggro deck and enjoy the ride.

If not, then you will certainly find many decks they will certainly fit!! This site is full of interesting decks, probably many with these cards you're looking forward to craft!!

This Elise combo might not be just a meme after all. I will definitely try this one! Very clever idea, btw.

She also may enable many more combos in wild. I'm looking forward for this card, will craft if I don't get it tomorrow!!

My opinion: you are mixing stuff from the control deck with the taunt (which should be more minion oriented) deck. You'll end up having to kill your minions (with things like brawl, Dyn-o-matic and warpath) which shouldn't be good. I would cut out both brawls (or just leave one like an emergency switch), remove both warpaths, cut one execute and maybe switch the supercollider for another weapon with more attack value, also, you could leave one devastators and also shield slam. Then you'd free some space for more taunt minions, that could be buffed, then leaving your gameplan for a more proactive style (maybe even Elysiana could leave).

    Hope it helps

I'm really hyped with this new expansion. About standard, not so much (because I think it will be only Warriors and mages all over again), but in Wild there are lots of cards that can fit old archetypes, like the warrior minion that copies a damaged friend, the plague of murlocs (only to screw with Big Priests when they greet you just because they had Barnes in the opening hand). Also I'm enjoying playing a shadow/zoo priest, in which I think the new Holy Ripple will be very useful against aggro decks.

These are only a few examples, but overall, I'm very excited!!

Ok, so, after facing so many big priests, I got depressed and just quit using control decks (in fact now, I only seek aggro/burn decks if playing ranked, which kind of sucks), although Reno decks are so fun to play with...

How do you guys plan to counter this cancer with these control decks? (I'm not trying to be offensive, just being pragmatic) I mean, just one or two polymorphs are not enough, drawing treachery+doomsayer is not always feasible, and Raza was nerfed...

Maybe the new Zephrys guy with a more midrang-ish deck would be possible?

Fair point. Probably just concede and move on. If have tried teching for Big Priest, but it's just not worth it. The match is still boring to play, it's still not a garanteed win and your deck is going to perform so much worse against other decks.

I don't think there is a card in the basic or classic set that Zephrys can pull out that does the job either.

That's exactly what I do. Barnes -> hit the magic button and, after saying "well played" to heighten the Big Priest player's ego... heh

Yes, it is on our to-do list, no ETA tho.

    So glad to read that!!

    It is a MUST, IMO!!

I hate the text only list, even worse that the mana cost doesn't show (at least in my mobile, never tried this site in a PC)...
