This is a hard counter to bomb warrior, transforms all those bombs into useful things. Highlander decks also may want this to get rid of other things that get inserted in their decks against their will.
It's not about being neat, is about the card being playable. The druid one is costed the same as the paladin and hunter, it has base vanilla stats (4/7 for 5 mana) and pays an extra mana for the battlecry and taunt + 1 health. The mage one is the only one pays two mana above vanilla stat line.
As much as I hate to play against control warrior and always wanted something to deal with the armor, this is not the way.
it would have been preferable to have something to hit health ignoring armor or more in general put an upper cap on armor like health has (e.g. max armor 30). But this is just bonkers.
Paladin explorer was revealed and confirms that mage got the short end of the stick with explorer dragons. Why couldn’t this be 3 mana? Could reduce spell damage to +1 if that is the issue, but at least it would make this playable.
This confirms it, for some reason mage got shafted with their dragon explorer, Azure Explorer, why does that one cost 4 and this and the hunter explorer 3?
If you play Elemental Evocation to play this, does that spell already count to one of the three spells? I imagine yes, that is a solid play. Get this out for 1 mana and only need to play two cheap spells (Ray of Frost x2?) to trigger it.
The collector in me wants to pull the trigger and get all three. But even with the discount, it is hard to justify $23 (with taxes) for these. I wouldn't mind getting Magni and Alleria since I am tired of Garrosh and Rexxar, but don't really care for Medivh (I play a lot of mage, but prefer Khadgar and Fire Jaina over this one).
Do the mana crystals come full or empty? I would expect it to be empty, which means yes you just dropped an 8/8 but your opponent is the first one to get access to a full ten mana. On the other hand if the crystals come in full this is broken.
Underwhelming when you look it side by side with the hunter Primordial Explorer. Costs one more to trade poisonous for +2 spell damage? Feels like mage got shafted.
This brawl with Paladin is like shooting fish in a barrel. Just keep pumping those recruits, and if you happen to go second and coin your HP on turn 1, GG.
Counter is a keyword for a single card, yet we cannot have a keyword for "cannot be targeted by spells or hero powers". Also, *enrage goes to cry in the corner*
I agree that is bad design, but "it's either unplayable and useless or completely busted", isn't that the definition of a tech card?

We can agree to disagree on that, but regardlessit could have been 3 mana +1 spell damage.

Can this generate copies of itself? Infinite value!
Target that beefy beast the hunter just buffed with Dire Frenzy ... sweet
I wish they would have called this "Elusive Drakonid", the cries for having this as a keyword would have been deafening.

In the US at least it is 30% discount, but yes, it is a great offer. Like Flux said, it is basically a buy 2 get 3rd one free.

Disappointed it is not Kalecgos

That is not mentioned anywhere in the post above, it even says "New enemies and challenges await!".
So, no 60min/40min rewards this week?
