This can help Secret Paladin thin out their deck quite efficiently as this works to draw and play three cards for 2 mana. Granted, this occurs over three turns, but it at least makes sure you have the chance to equip for a couple of secrets for Cannonmaster Smythe. Still, I think there needs to be some additional efficient card draw to help complete the reload potential of the archetype and compete with DH, Rogue, and Warlock that have really efficient reloads for their aggressive strategies.

I think this has a serious chance to be a win condition for a Control Warlock. The class has an easier time than most other control decks reaching fatigue thanks to Life Tap. Once they hit fatigue and play Neeru Fireblade, they can play Envoy Rustwix or whatever ways they can duplicate that deathrattle to avoid fatigue damage. A free board of eighteen damage each turn can quickly outpace even the 6/6 Abyssals from Lord Jaraxxus and will be harder for opponents to keep up with than the 6/6 Abyssals. This looks crazy and scary and I can't wait to try this out!

This is one of the craziest effects I've seen in Hearthstone! Regardless of its competitive viability, I think it's a fun card and really want to try it out!

When you consider that all the weapon-buffing cards Weapon Rogue runs currently are poisons, there is a case to be made for Swinetusk Shank and if it can provide more consistent damage output than Self-Sharpening Sword. Considering Deadly Poison, Nitroboost Poison, and Paralytic Poison as well as each weapon being at full durability, it takes three poisons for Shank to have a higher damage output than Sword (given that two of these poisons buff the weapon's attack by two). Since Weapon Rogue wants to kill the opponent very quickly, this probably means Self-Sharpening Sword's higher immediate damage output will be more valued in the archetype than Swinetusk Shank as they aren't often stacking three weapon buffs on a single weapon.

This will be the only secret tech option in standard that punishes multiple secrets, which has been often desired from such a tech. However, Horde Operative doesn't remove the enemy secrets, but rather gets you more tempo to potentially swing the game. We've seen secrets be viable in Rogue, Mage, and Hunter recently, but I still think Operative will suffer from being a tech against something that isn't universal like Acidic Swamp Ooze and weapons.

On its own, Tame Beast (Rank 1) looks somewhat mediocre, but I don't think it will take a lot extra to support this. Tavish Stormpike seems crazy with this on turn five to summon a three cost beast from your deck, not to mention additional beast buffing synergies with cards like Dire Frenzy. I think this will be an efficient tool to support a Midrange Beast Hunter archetype with the tools the archetype is getting with the upcoming rotation.

This is pretty scary on turn five with Tame Beast (Rank 1) cheating out a Zixor, Apex Predator into a two-cost beast. The main challenge with Tavish Stormpike is going to be constructing the deck and figuring out what beasts or beast-summoning cards are worth including. That being said, Tavish has the potential to create a massive swing turn and help justify Dire Frenzy as Tavish can pull buffed beasts from your deck. We'll have to see all of the available beasts, but I won't be sleeping on Tavish.

This is basically a Warbot with additional upside, which can be useful for Tempo Warriors that utilize self damage/frenzy. Warsong Envoy also curves really well into Cruel Taskmaster. My only question is if this archetype can work and keep up with other aggressive archetype since Warrior lost Battle Rage, and will have to compete against Secret Passage, Skull of Gul'dan, and Hand of Gul'dan.

Dang, with Foxy Fraud or The Coin, you can cheat out two three-drops on turn four alongside a 3/3. The high roll potential is kind of insane, which means it probably sees play because that's been the history of Rogue. This is like the Rogue equivalent to Skull of Gul'dan, which is arguably the most powerful card in standard during the Year of the Pheonix. Early-to-mid game mana cheat should never be underestimated as cards with these effects can tend to win games on their own. I really hope Rogue isn't insane because of Scabbs Cutterbutter!

I have two issues with this. First, silence is best as a reactive tool. The proactive nature of Sigil of Silence makes it so that your opponent doesn't have to play into the silence, the minions on board you want to silence continue to have their effects, and switch their game plan into something more effective for the situation. Second, this feels awful getting it off of Skull of Gul'dan, which is the single DH card that has warped how DH plays since its introduction. If the card doesn't work well with skull, it doesn't see play.

Combined with Bru'kan, this can provide efficient removal for a slower Shaman. Chain Lightning (Rank 1) is also pretty decent as a standalone card acting as a Cleave with late game upside, as well as how Shaman has other sources of spell damage. Hopefully Control Shaman has enough of a win condition after rotation to make the archetype viable!

Bru'kan has some nifty spells to take advantage of, from Lightning Storm, to Tidal Surge, to the new Chain Lightning (Rank 1). It helps that the cards that support Bru'kan are already playable standalone, and this nature spell damage just helps scale up their effectiveness. The only question I have here is how effective Shaman will be, with its slower archetypes, at winning games with win conditions, as Bru'kan doesn't contribute to a win condition on its own.

I question how consistently you can get the effect on curve, which is when the extra stats are more impactful. Void Drinker has one less attack, but can be more easily played on curve as it doesn't demand a same turn set up, and Drinker only sees sparing play in Warlock. Also, Control Priest hasn't historically cared about the stats of minions, but rather the effects of minions, of which there are more effective taunts like Lightshower Elemental. Maybe Priest of An'she sees play in a Tempo Priest that Team 5 keeps pushing, but that archetype has never been able to succeed with the lack of efficient draw Priest has.

Obviously, cheating mana is something not to be taken lightly in Hearthstone; however, my issues with Death Speaker Blackthorn are more of a contextual one for DH. First, DHs draw through their deck very efficiently, and that has anti-synergy with Blackthorn, especially Vengeful Spirit. Second, Skull of Gul'dan has warped how DH plays since the release of the class that Soul DH has cut Soulciologist Malicia, another seven mana minion that creates a board, because it could block a turn six Skull. Considering both of these points, I'm not optimistic about Blackthorn's competitive viability, unless there are some bonkers deathrattle minions introduced for Blackthorn to summon.

This will definitely help Secret and SHR Paladin follow up their boards with crazy efficient damage in the mid-to-late game. The pressure of one mana deal six or nine damage while also having mana left to continue developing board or follow up will force opponents to remove your board whenever you have one. With this and some secrets being cheap holy spells, I wonder if Secret Paladin could work with Veteran Warmedic?

Priest is always looking for board clears and they have access to plenty of efficient healing effects. I don't know why any Control Priests wouldn't want to run Xyrella. Heck, just a Renew plus HP and you have a Flamestrike plus a 4/4 and five healing for seven mana. Xyrella is super efficient and will be a staple in Priest I am certain.

This is kind of crazy with Warmaul Challenger, but this looks underwhelming in every other use case. Both the body and the effect look underwhelming for the cost. Rokara herself is rarely going to trade into anything and survive, and the effect doesn't make up for the body. The single +1/+1 buffs don't stack up fast enough and don't help with trades as the minions are buffed AFTER the attack and have to survive. Comparatively, Guff Runetotem's effect stacks up much faster in a given turn and is easier to achieve.

The watch posts seem more efficient as tech cards rather than standalone minions, so it seems weird to build your deck around these tech cards for this one payoff (that we know of so far). On top of this, Kargal Battlescar is just a stat dump with no immediacy. I'd much rather play Soulciologist Malicia than Kargal as Malicia's souls are more impactful haivng rush, despite -2/-2 in stats. We may get more watch post synergy down the line, but again, I don't know how a deck built around these tech card effects consistently win games.

My issue with Plaguemaw the Rotting is that it doesn't have an ideal use case for most matchups. Against aggressive decks, Plaguemaw doesn't provide extra defense, but only board presence and taunt effect value that really aggressive decks like Weapon Rogue don't care about when pointing face. In slower matchups, your taunt minions are less likely to die against decks with in-hand removal that it will use to kill Plaguemaw first. I just don't know how you get consistent enough right value in the right matchup from Plaguemaw ever.

While Soul Rend is a great anti-aggro tool, I'm not sure Warlocks will be happy about losing cards that are either: win conditions against slower decks or more removal tools they need for aggressive matchups. I get that Blood Shard Bristleback was printed to take advantage of having a a low amount of cards in your deck, but you can also lose Bristleback by playing Soul Rend. Overall, I think Warlocks already approach a small deck size already with Life Tap and card draw like Free Admission, that they don't need Soul Rend to reach fatigue quickly. Warlocks also aren't desperate for the removal as they already have multiple AoE cards that cost four or less and don't require nuking your own deck.
