I think certain card backs and hero portraits were made available for gold at the start of the Hearthstone year (April 2021). It would have been discussed in the article regarding the patch update at the time. If it had a separate article it likely got buried quick with all the other news coming out at the same time
Well the Deeprun Tram runs between Stormwind and Ironforge. They must have wanted to include that references the Tram and this was jut their best idea I guess.
There may not be a lot of mech synergy, or even a ton of mechs in the pool, but that can be useful in some situations. Hell, didn’t this guy get banned in Arena because of how consistently he would give player’s the new Sneed’s Goliath due to the small mech pool in that card pool?
In short, not every card has to serve a specific purpose in theme with current sets. Sometimes cards can simply be situational value generators.
That’s cool! Seems like recycled content from Book of Mercenaries, but also interesting to see how they transformed a single player encounter into a two player brawl
Technically the no minion Spell Hunter archetype was introduced a year prior in Kobolds & Catacombs with Rhok'delar, To My Side!, Lesser Emerald Spellstone, and Flanking Strike being key cards to support the archetype. But then Rastakhan's Rumble added Zul'jin and Baited Arrow. Baited gave the deck a little removal that could also provide a tempo swing with the Overkill effect. It also providing an extra bit of reach since it can go face. And Zul'jin was great after playing a fully ramped Spellstone and several secrets that he would then replay, he could also replay removal like Crushing Walls. And the deck still ran Deathstalker Rexxar to generate infinite value with the Zombeasts. In short, I think it was always kind of missing that final piece until the RR additions.
And you know it's not the Internet if someone doesn't point out every little mistake you might make, as if the person pointing it out never makes mistakes (which in this case is true, I don't)
But after only a few games I can tell this list of yours is going to be much better for actually winning games! LOL
I had a Rogue try to Cloak with 2 HP and some minions on board, froze my Illidari Inquisitor thinking he'd be safe, but it still attacked what you attack even when frozen. So I was able to clear all but 4 health from his board, then drop the Priestess for the guaranteed lethal! A Shaman made the mistake of leaving an Inquisitor frozen as well, and I dropped Faceless Manipulator and hero powered to do 17 to face. Opponent was at 12! So much fun!!!
I am hoping this gets fixed in the patch on 1/25. Another work around for now:
Change your deck to be Standard
Remove any filters
Change back to a Wild deck.
This should not affect the card selections you've already made, but it will allow you to scroll the collection without filters. It also may not really save you any time from the current work around of exiting the deck edit mode, removing filters, and going back in. But maybe it'll be a little faster as I imagine backing out of deck building makes you say yes or no to auto completing a deck.
The work around above also doesn't do anything to stop additional filters from getting stuck when added. So you have to keep repeating my work around the same way I'm guessing you repeat yours when trying to deck build in mobile.
I love that this is the deck you’re highlighting this week because I randomly decided last night to make a Big Demon DH as well. But mine is more meme worthy than yours because, quite frankly… my list is very odd! As in literally! It has Baku and odd cost cards only. Moderately successful in upper Diamond ranks, I think mainly from 1) high rolls on early draws and 2) a few opponents tried to face race when they saw I was odd, then ended up in more of a control match with few resources in hand.
But again, it’s meme-tastic but not really that great! Was thinking if trying a non-odd list and here is the perfect one to try out! :)
Looks like what they are doing is taking away all dust people got to go back and redo everything from scratch. I got 8000, and now appear to have lost 8000. But again, not a huge deal.
I was actually thinking they’d just slap the “but not less than 1” stipulation on her, but I’m happier with this because it still makes things like the original Exodia Mage possible, but requires a little more work to set it up.
EDIT: This was supposed to be a response to someone else. Not sure what happened here.
I usually like having a consistent portrait and card back for a deck, but randomized coins based on my favorite cosmetic coins is more than fine! Even if I would only see it half the time.
I feel like I made a mistake spending that 8k dust right away… But I have more than enough dust so I guess if they take some of it out of my total remaining I’ll be okay.
EDIT: Based on what some people are saying on this thread, those who got it twice actually saw the pop up twice. I only saw it once so maybe I'm okay and won't have any dust taken away. Unless I had extra because some cards shouldn't have been refunded. But again, should be okay either way.
Is it just me, or do all the Thief Rogues in Standard play like their brain is on a dial-up internet connection? It's like they think they are so clever and need to rope ever turn, even their turn 1 do nothing turn, to let their opponents bask in their cleverness. Even when they immediately trade their Cutlass and stay in disguise they sit there like "Do you think my opponent noticed?" Yes, and I also noticed that you don;t know where the End Turn button is!
This isn't even really an angry rant toward the deck itself, just the awful time wasting by so many fucking people! It's even better when Questline Warriors rope every turn, but at least that deck isn't being spammed all over Standard ladder right now.
Which they got 45% so that's close! I do think they mentioned Alliance players played more games on avg but Horde were showing more Honor per avg. Seeing as the Horde card Drek'thar is likely the more competitive card I could see Horde players on average having a higher winrate and being competitive minded in their deck choices, but then Alliance players choosing the "fun card" would likely be people who play more.
All in all it still kind of balanced out to the average you calculated though.
Any Rexxar skin where he is correctly dual weilding axes is a good Rexxar skin!

My head would explode!!!

My brain when I saw the article thumbnail: “Why can’t I hold all these Renos?!?”

Oh the nostalgia of when Tom went against conventional logic to hold a UI in his opening hand and it won him a World Championship!

Not to be nit-pick but... it's V-07-TR-0N. Not V-07-LT-0N (I totally meant to nit-pick!)
I actually crafted Mimiron's Head a while ago for a very similar deck.
The Odd list is really fun when you Sigil of Alacrity on 1 to draw a 4 cost Sigil of Reckoning which can be played on 3 with The Coin, and then after it pulls a Priestess of Fury or a Pit Commander you play a Drakkari Enchanter from hand for some crazy, early game fun!

Tied to honor earned, maybe? I got 8000 and reached the top rank, a friend who was much lower in the ranks got 3200.
