I'm truly surprised that this thread wasn't nerfed. But here it is in all its glory. I for one am in favor of the new name "Krapgar." I think this thread was created because another similar thread was locked by a moderator. The discussion here must be nicer.
My two cents: When the Mage has the nuts, it's really not fun to play against the mage. As has been usually true in other moments of other years, it's sort of like watching a person playing solitaire. When the mage doesn't have the nuts (probably 50% of the time) it's pretty much an easy victory for the non-mage, excluding the Warriors out there. The Warriors must cycle through all their stuff to eventually die against the mages, even when the mages didn't have a nice nut (draw).
So where am I going with this? Warrior right now is huge problem. Stop picking on the classes that have the tools to hard counter Warrior. Nerf the hard counter to warrior, watch warrior just become the 100% win rate deck to autopilot itself to Hearthstone Nirvana.
Probably not going to pre-order: I bought the Heist and the Wild bundle recently, so I've spent enough money on Hearthstone for now. I got a lot of dust on the rotation and haven't spent much of it yet, so if I don't draw the cards I want from the packs I buy with gold, I can just craft them.
I cut myself off at splurging on the Heist. I'm really happy I bought the Heist adventure, it has been a lot of fun to play with. I was sooo tempted to spring on the Wild bundle. But I exerted the restraint on myself. I hope you continue to accumulate dust. It's really hard to maintain a big dust balance. I always find myself low on dust. It's a goal of mine to find a way to really accumulate dust and not have to spend it
I regret opening the game and playing it today. What a terrible day for playing Hearthstone. I think Standard, at least, has reached a coin flip status. Or rock-paper-scissors. There are no surprises and lots of losses intertwined with wins. My day on the standard ladder: win 1, lose 1, win 1, lose 1, win 2, lose 1, win 1, lose 3, win 2, lose 4, win 1, lose 1, etc. It's a little better than a day playing Texas Holde 'em, though, so there's something to be less salty about. But it's not far from being like Texas Holde 'em.
And with that knowledge, I think I'll take a day away from this stupid game and return to it the day after with the idea that I'm just going to do whatever it takes to get more gold and not more rank. I have also decided that my goal to make all my heroes golden is a stupid goal. I don't want to spend money on this stupid game. I want this game to be formatted better and then maybe I'll spend some money on this game. I'm going to start playing the decks that get me the most gold every day. I'm going to focus exclusively on quests and the 100 gold daily limit. And arena, only if I can swing it to double dip on the quests.
The problem with dusting legendary classic cards isthat you can get them back, however you will never get duplicate copies of the legendaries. I should know because I have dusted Lorewalker Cho a couple of times. Sometimes dusting a useless legendary is a necessary evil, though, because it's far cheaper to craft the card you need for a deck than buying tons of packs hoping to get the exact card you need. As a matter of fact, I think I got a lot of value out dusting Lorewalker Cho twice given that at the time I had the classic legendaries I needed anyway.
Everything else in the OP is right on, though. Legendaries that come to you should typically just stay in your collection, especially if they are part of an expansion set. Every expansion different cards become very important. As a matter of fact, between expansions it can also happen. Barista Lynchen didn't catch on until last month, really.
I haven't pre-ordered and not sure if I will. I'm going to try to accumulate as much gold as possible and see if I can use it to buy lots of packs. This game is expensive when you spend money on it, sales and discounts or not. I am glad they offer pre-orders, because buying in bulk at the beginnning of a season is a good deal. Still, I try to save up gold if I can. Not always possible, but sometimes it is. I bought fifty packs when Rise of Shadows was released, all with gold. It felt good not to have to spend the money.
Also, I'm cheap and I only buy things when they're on sale. Or, I should say, "on sale."

Obviously, the healthy choice for me is not play this stupid game because it isn't fun. I'm sure when I return to it it will be as shitty as ever, and I will win a lot and feel fantastic and eventually come back to here, where I am right now, losing all my matches and ready to set my computer on fire and throw it out the window.
I would go with Even Warlock or I would craft some cards you're missing and try out some of the others in your list. The decks you're having a look at are all pretty good. I would love to play in Wild format but I just can't afford it, so I feel your pain. I've just stuck with Standard. I guess the best thing about crafting cards for wild is that they won't get obsolete and you can count on maybe using them in the future.
Crafting Soularium is definitely worth it, I think, because it gets used in different warlock decks in Standard and Wild and so is crafting Thalnos because he's a classic legendary and can be used in lots of different decks. Crafting a legendary classic card for me is never a question if I am crafting it to use a deck I want to use.
It took me all format to get here, but it’s time for Mad Genius to be nerfed or HOF’d.
Warrior is reaching Druid levels of dominance and variety. It can go aggro, midrange, and/or super long, and the shell is all the same. And the shell is held together by the Hero card.
I don't know about nerfing or HOF, but they could change the stats on it, that's for sure. At some point today I asked myself if it shouldn't be renamed. We could call it "Autoconcede" so you know at what point in the game you lose. I think one of the most disgusting aspects of this card is that the Warrior can draw it at the beginning of the game and just hold onto it until 7 mana are available to play it. It does not precisely gain value from turn 1 to 7 yet it's beneficial to hold onto it from the very beginning of the game just because. I mean, it doesn't hurt the warrior to hold onto it over seven turns because playing it is basically the beginning of the end. It's obvious that it's a disgusting card because even warriors focused on a dragon theme play it. Its flavor is mech, but a dragon deck benefits from it.
Fortunately, I am still on a salt hiatus. I am still indifferent about losing to bullshit. I lose to bullshit and continue to press forward. I will not abandon you, however, my salty ones. Eventually, I will get salty again.
I feel your pain, though, RandomGuy. Dr. Boom is a piece of shit. Also, the warrior class is currently braindead. I was playing warrior, actually, a month ago, because I'm collecting golden heroes. I stopped because it's autopilot. Especially bomb warrior. Need to draw some rush minions? Draw them. Need more armor? Get some. Need to remove minions infinitely? Do it. It's pathetic. I will earn my golden warrior when it's less like this
I'm not F2P, but I can't justify doing something like crafting golden cards because I feel like that's dust I could have used to craft part of a new deck to play with. I have other vices and hobbies to spend my money on.
For some reason, I am also not too interested in the cosmetic aspects of the game. New hero skins are not an incentive for me to buy packs or pre-orders, for example.
I think it's great that there are people who get into the golden cards and other cosmetic things. It's just not my thing. I'm a cheap skate, I suppose!
