    You are correct. Pacific time is 3 hours earlier comparing to Eastern. Time zones are hard man ;)

    Exactly. And even tho there are many aggressive decks at the moment... there is not that many minions with exactly 1 hp anymore. Why 1 hp? Because it starts the defile chain going.

    This comes on turn 5, which is simply too late. Against aggro decks you try to remove minions as fast as possible. So when this comes on turn 5... there are no 1 health minions because... you removed them already. And if not, and you just let aggro deck hit you for 4 turns, you probably lose anyway.

    Haven't seen the Trump video, so thanks for all the info. Sure, positioning matters to some degree, but there's not THAT many moves available, if everything there is 3 vs 3 battles. I can't see how much more depth there can be, being only 3 vs 3.

     

    Oh, I forgot Heroic. Sure, I can see that being challenging (we have to see when it comes out).

     

    I am just worried, will I have enough willingness to play through the early unlocking stages. I have nothing against grind, I like grinding and unlocking things. Everything comes down to a gameplay for me.

    If gameplay isn't fun-challenging soon enough, I for sure won't force myself to grind god knows how many hours until maaaybe it will get more fun and interesting.

    I think it's most healthy to everyone, don't force yourself to play something you don't like.

    Same here. Knowing that we don't have many Mercs or any items to choose at the start (grind needed for everything) - it can get boring pretty quickly. So the only differences at the start will be different encountered enemies, that's it.

    Although I have to admit - we don't know, how fast we can grind other Mercs and stuff. If grind is fast - then my concern isn't worth much.

    If the grind is painfully slow, well... I can only say for myself there - I will get bored before I grind enough stuff to have fun.

    So far I am disappointed, I expected more, especially gameplay-wise. For example - more tactical choices (positioning matters?), different game board (maybe with hex fields?) - so that moving, positioning and other gameplay choices matter even more.

    I think that's the most healthy way to approach this Mercenaries mode... and we will see, if how much worth it is to play, from time to time :)

    Also, just as recent tweet about upcoming Ranked changes (schedule), now Duels fans know, there is something bigger coming :)

    It's sooo nice to know this much in advance for once.

    I understand it is not possible usually - to give us such exact release schedule.

     

    I am sick of Warlocks, and they rule in Standard and in Wild... and I don't play BG :) almost feels like you can't escape from them :P

    Now at least we know, that there is hope for the situation to change and we can await changes and more :)

    Good luck on next adventures for him then :P I almost never watched esports stuff, but when I did, usually he, "the weird hair guy" was casting it.

     

    Buuut. I watched Omnistone, it was a great podcast. Perfect mix - Frodan (esports guy), Kibler (game designer view) and Firebat (competitive and top player). I don't follow news every week and it was perfect for that, with a mix of meta game discussions.

    Maaaybe it's a time for him to resurrect it? (doubt it :P but would be nice)

    Turn 3 - Razormane Battleguard (+ 2nd summoned copy) + SOME Taunt...

    f.e. Teacher's Pet or Greybough or Thickhide Kodo or Groundskeeper (btw. those discounted Taunts get copied too? If so, then it can get really insane)

    Thanks for newest decks.

     

    So we can assume, that new Duels season comes along with the start of next Stormwind expansion :P

    I wonder if that means that we get new "Theme" with it? We have "Wizards" since the start, maybe it's time to change it, Blizzard?

    I noticed it too, wanted to inform everyone, you were faster :)

     

    My guess about why 3rd Phase "spell locked" got delayed...

    1. it's the same developer group, that is now working on new game modes (Iksar said in Q&A that there will be multiple new modes). So when Mercenaries got delayed, next mode whatever it might be - got pushed even further.

    2. The "spell locked" thing was just a "Mercenaries update".

     

    Either way, sad that it got delayed this much. New game modes are a thing that is still keeping me playing and hoping for more.

    Infinite card generation is simply a bad game design. It can exist as a rare fun deck, but when it becomes viable, it's just wrong on so many levels.

    You thought you were playing constructed? You are wrong, when you face infinite Priest, you don't play constructed anymore, you can't reliably play around anything. Core fundamental rule of constructed mode is broken.

    I can see infinite decks existing in a PvE modes.

    It's a shame, it just feels like devs have no more ideas, what to do with Priests anymore. Current Standard Priest win condition is to torture your opponent or bore him to death... Both very unhealthy for the game, especially if it stays this way for too long...

    So much this !!! I hate lackeys in Arena. Especially the Discover lackeys are so god damn annoying and create unhealthy situations.

    FINALLY !  The wait overrrrr ! (almost)

    I don't know how others feel but in 5-6 years that I play this game, this was probably close to the least fun Standard meta for me (maybe same as short Evolve Shaman meta). Maybe not a worst meta balance-wise, just that there is not that many viable decks overall.

    At least there are other modes I could play little more, Wild and some Duels.

     

    Well, maybe the waiting is more annoying now, knowing that Mercenaries is coming...

    I would argue that Lava Burst has no Overload downside, since most often you use it as a finisher.

    Serpentshrine Portal represents current Hearthstone power level. Years ago it would be 3-mana - deal 3 damage...

    Currently good cards have "2 card value" in them I think. Look at other powerful cards nowadays, for example - Runed Orb, Hand of A'dal, Venomous Scorpid ("hard removal" and a "card draw" in one card) and so on.

    Man that is so true. I hope this idea of your's is suggested to devs, for example to Iksar in his Q&A or something.

    That would be such a big Quality of Life change, easy to do, and helps soooooo muuuchhh to save some precious time.

    Yup. The "turn minion into 3/3" is very much undervalued. I guess many people overlook the fact, that it can be casted on enemy minions. This way it almost feels like it's a free Hard Removal, ready for you at every turn... Which feels like cheating, when I played with it :P

    I don't understand why you got down-voted but fixed it for you.

    I was wondering the same btw. Because "one deck from each classes" could also be possible, so that people can't abuse the system in the future - to buy 1 deck many times just because they could "buy dust".

    "1 battle-ready deck" seems not good... if you are a returning player, you might actually want to buy few decks... and you can't because Blizzard set such a rule for now.

    I was not playing in Beta, so this slight innovation is new for me
