Please nerf burn aggro - today I lost two games against it with even with him not even touching my face with direct attacks - just last breath deal dmg and burst spells. Total bulls*** not fun to play against + most of the players even rope deliberatly
It was nerfed. Pretty hard actually. He probably just got good draws or you didn't properly play around him or don't have enough ways to heal to take on burn. Who knows.
They really need to steal from the bottom. I like to play Freljord and it is really annoying when I had a great opening hand triple Omin Hawk into a yeti in the top three cards only for the enemy to steal all my buffed cards and the yeti before I could get them. >_<
Freljord was being held back by the oppressive super aggressive aggro decks in the last meta. Freljord as a whole does poorly against aggro. They only have one heal that's tied to a 4 cost hero and all of its good tools don't really start coming online till mid game. Turn 5 or 6 which is when most aggro decks are one more hit away from the win if they haven't won already.
But with the aggro decks taken down a notch Freljord can have its time in the sun since they excell at shutting down mid range and late game decks with all their slows and constant 5+ power unites.
I really like the monkey idol. It goes with the idea I had some time ago to add a bit more personal flavor into Freljord. One of the Freljord cards mentions making an enemy into a fine totem. So I was thinking of having a few totem like cards for Freljord that acts like the monkey idol. They can't attack or block but take damage every turn but provide some kind of area of effect buff for you or your unites.
Like Totem of Spirit: As long as this totem is in play your Nexus can't be targeted by spells or abilities. Totem of Might: As long as this totem is in play your unites have Overwhelm. Totem of Endurance. As long as this totem is in play your Nexus has Tough.
Stuff like that and since they take up a unite slot and can't attack or block it's probably best to limit your deck to having only one totem. The one that best fits what your deck is trying to do.
Yesterday I was playing a game and had three Leviathans on board and won. So I didn't think to much into it until today when I was messing around with the deck and saw something odd. The deck only has two Leviathans and no way to get a third. So how exactly did I pull into a third Leviathan? O_o
Don't forget my favorite Freljord champion, the third queen: Lissandra!
Freljord is also my favorite region. Gameplay-wise I like the focus on strong units and Frostbite: my favorite (really only) deck is my Ashe-focused Freljord + Noxus midrange deck. I want to win through unit combat, showing you that my board is superior to yours. No comboes, nothing underhanded; just a straight-up fight between warriors...with a little board control thrown in :D
I have to wait a little bit longer for Mt. Targon to appear in-game: that's where Leona is, my favorite champion ever. I really hope Mt. Targon + Freljord will be a good combo, but she'll probably be focused on Stuns so I'm guessing Targon + Ionia to mix with Yasuo.
Is Lissandra the scar lady? If so I do like her too. I had forgot about her.
It feels like between Ashe and Sejuani there is difference of opinion but its not like they are in a direct war with each other. They have basically agreed to disagree. It is like a feeling of 'you don't mess with me and I won't mess with you' sort of attitude going on with them.
But between Ashe and that scar lady. Well she down right hates her guts. She wants her dead. It is a feeling of if they come face to face someone is going to die.
With stealing from the deck it should be like MtG where it says something like; Take a card at random from opponents deck, SHOW the card to them, then put it into your hand.
If you got to masters by using some meta net deck that someone else made did you actually achieve anything? Be honest. Can you honestly refer to yourself as a Master player?
I don't mind Pilfer to much as most of the time they get stuff that doesn't really fit with their build and today I saw someone running Teemo and it was funny because he used Pilfer and took his own mushrooms to the face. So yeah Teemo and Pilfer do not mix. lol.
But with that aside Pilfer in expeditions is a must pick. No deck is perfect in expeditions and they all have random stuff in them, so Pilfers negative effect of pulling cards that may not mesh with your deck, is made mute.
It is a highly frustrating mechanic. You can do whatever you want with no counter play if it is burst which is BS and inherently makes any card that isn't burst speed tremendously worse.
I get. Its a way to have a different type of counter play outside of having a bunch of counter spell type cards. But the difference is that playing another card to counter a spell feels good. Like you out played them. But playing a bust spell just feels cheesy overall. One the other person can't counter it and for the caster it requires no forethought as to what the other player may do to counter it and have to ask themselves how do I counter their counter.
Burst is a completely brainless mechanic that is frustrating for the enemy player and encourages brainless play from the caster.
I disagree with Unyielding Spirit change. It needs its speed changed to at least fast. Even slow would be fair or at least make it so it can't be cast on champions.
I have one. Make it so Avalanche also gives everyone frostbite, your guys too, so you can combine it with Winters Breath for 11 mana and get a full board clear but not be able to fully capitalize on it till the next turn. So it will be a situational combo.
Freljord is my fav. Not because I win with it most of the time. I actually don't. I just like the cards interactions and their lore. I like the whole bit with one person (Ashe) trying to bring about peace and another (Sejoani) who is hard headed and stuck in the old ways who thinks peace breeds weakness and war makes them strong. Which to be fair, she's not wrong, but war does more harm than good in the long run and Ashe sees this where she doesn't.
Ionia is control deck centered so it has a lot of options for controlling the board which helps in literally any deck. Only way to actually balance that is to give every faction some more control friendly options. But then you run the risk of making it so the only decks that can climb are control decks.
I'd like to know where most players are at and where I stand. As of right now I'm dancing between plat 3 and 2.

Do something about Unyielding Spirit already! That card is BS and people are finding even more BS ways to use it.
