When you Nightmare your Ysera then res it with this card

I don't think that would work unless your Ysera died from the attack itself. Nightmare's death effect is an end of turn effect at which point it is too late to play this new card to get your Ysera back.

This is a powerful tool and could be a one sided board wipe if used effectively. It is on the slower side though. I could imagine a scenario with beast where you could exploit this using unleash the hounds in some way.

I like the idea of this card and the art. I think as a dragon it will definitely see play in dragon synergized decks.

Will there be individual card discussion threads that get linked here? It would be nice to click on each card to discuss it individually. I would just make a thread but I don't want to conflict with something already in the works.

This is a known bug and there have been several threads about it so far. No idea what causes it as I have seen it on android, ios, and os x. No idea if it will be fixed haven't seen it acknowledged by Blizzard yet.

I find it strange when people call control decks non interactive. To me interactive decks care what your opponent are doing and change their game plan accordingly. I find control decks the most interactive because you have to control what the other player is doing. You choose to play reactively and use each card entirely based on what your opponent plays in order to exhaust their supplies and ultimately win. Pure aggro on the other hand and some combo decks are un-interactive in that they have a game plan and they play it out regardless of what the opponent is doing the same way every time all the time. I know that will not fit in with how some people feel but I also think the discussion of interactivity in Hearthstone is pretty tired and worn out. It isn't an overly interactive game which is why it is so simple and fun in a lot of ways and lends to its success.

That's interesting.. so a 2- mana "add a random animal companion to your hand"  would probably see play then

Also means some kinda thematic spell hunter based around the companions may work..

The Stonehill was just an example of cards that would bring class cards more often so would get value from companions shifting pools.

I think at 1 mana it might see play, and that's primarily because of Zul'jin. At 2 mana, I don't. Essentially, you'd be paying 5 mana for a card that is worth only about 3.5.

Yes but you would pay that 5 mana over two turns which still allows you to have an overstatted card out on turn 3.

Do you have Zilliax? Because if you don't that should be at the top of your list. It is neutral and it fits almost everywhere. The most versatile legendary around right now imo. Other than that Al'akir is a fun Shaman card to play with. Some of the others are fun cards to play with but ones that I wouldn't waste dust on crafting. The other option is to hold onto the dust. You don't need to use it right away. I save my dust as much as possible and only use it if I really need something.

They could temporarily rotate small packages of Wild cards, similarly to how they buffed Boomsday cards. To shake things up between expansions.

But the day they start recycling cards instead of printing new ones, it will be a bad signal of decay...

I doubt they will ever enlarge the Evergreen set.

Why would that be a sign of decay? People who say this have seemingly never played a game before much less a collectible card game. Magic the Gathering has been going for many many years and constantly recycle cards. Not only do they straight up reprint cards to bring them back but they frequently do functional reprints where the card text is identical and it just has a different name and art. It is a REALLY great way to bring back old cards that might be played differently in a new format and interact interestingly with newer cards. There is no reason why Blizzard shouldn't be doing this. It is a way to keep a rotating format healthy.

This is really dirty. The pity timer is 10 packs and they only give you 8 packs each if you never got cards from the expansion before. I have bought from all these older expansions and will not spend the money on this. AND if you didn't didn't play any of these expansions you will miss the pity timer by 2 packs. The first 10 packs are supposed to give you a legendary but most of the time the pity timer triggers at 10 packs instead. This is the biggest scam I have ever witnessed Blizzard doing so far. This is worse than the hero locked behind 80 euros. They just couldn't be damned to give two extra packs could they??? So scummy my god. Why are you people upvoting comments favoring this? There is so many new players that didn't buy these cards before that will miss the pity timer by only 2 packs. It's disgusting.

If you are opening the first 10 packs of an expansion you will get a legendary somewhere in those 10 packs. You don't need to open 10 packs. Sometimes I have had my first legendary show up in pack 2 or 3.

Yep I am about the same as others. 4 (or 5 I forget) legendaries one of which was gold and a ton of epics and other cards I never had before. This is even though I have been playing since Goblins vs. Gnomes was out and have a large collection anyway.

I have had this issue on my ipad, kindle fire, iphone, and laptop (os x 10.12.6). OS is up to date on all mobile devices. The issue pops up sometimes then goes away others but it happened as recently as last night. I have 4 or 5 decks that show up as incomplete and I cannot play with them until I open the deck in my collection and close it which then registers all 30 cards in the deck.

Doomseyer is awesome against pogo rogue. Wild pyro is better against something like shaman, druid and lock. Against mech pala is a bad match in any case. cause of the legendary spell. Think doomseyer is much better then pyro in any of the matchup you mentioned. Kalecgos is good against warriors. I would suggest you to craft the second doomseyer, cause this is not the first and won't be the last deck to run 2 of them.

Thanks! I appreciate the analysis. I just crafted stargazer and Khagdar for a different mage deck so I should just craft the doomsayer since I am all in on mage anyway.

Barista is a huge refill, you can try Heisbaron if you have it or what is worse a Tak Nozwhisker

Heistbaron is already in the deck. I guess I will have to craft Barista if I want to try this deck out.

Is there any good replacement for Barista? I have all the other cards necessary for this deck. Thanks!

We have plans for a dedicated non-thread tier list =D

I really want to be able to show people how cards move over time from different rankings, and of course, talking about them is important too. Stats get a bit harder since we aren't collecting anything, but it's possible we can work with another community to achieve this, at least early on.

Can you create a widget that points to HSReplay in a partnership sort of a way? I am not sure how to set it up to be mutually beneficial but I imagine that would be the best source for data that would go into a legendary/epic tier crafting guide.

I believe sticky threads is a feature in progress and has been discussed but not implemented yet and I believe that legendary and epic tier crafting guides are in the works too. I like your idea of having data to back up the crafting tier guide and it would be neat to link to example decks using those cards. You could always offer to contribute to the posts when they come online.

I don't have a second doomsayer only thing I am missing. I want to try this deck. Unsure if I should run a second pyromancer (better if I run into lots of aggro) or Kalecgos (better for more control). Mostly right now I am seeing pogo rogue and mech pally, mech hunter decks which are more mid rangey and I don't think the match up would benefit from either of those cards. I guess I need to craft a second doomsayer.

Haven't really played in like 10 years. I stopped shortly after the first Ravnica expansion. Still have all my cards though, some p9, full playset duals, etc.

So have you reached the point where you are sitting on the duals and P9 and treating them more like an investment?

    Partly that, partly sentimentality.

This is why I kept all my cards when I stopped playing as a kid and I was damn glad because I picked it back up again later. All my friends who used to play when we were kids that sold their collections were super sore about it when we started playing again after college. My philosophy now is to keep any cards that will not be reprinted or that I cannot easily obtain again if I wanted to play

I think the random nature of thief cards is where it has a hard time gaining traction. You just can't create a concrete game plan. Sometimes you get lucky but others you might just get a random card. If they made thief cards that were more deliberate and targeted this might change.

I play only paper magic. Haven't gotten into Arena yet. I play mostly sealed and draft when I play. I haven't played much lately because of kids but my oldest can read now so I will start teaching him to play magic soon. For constructed formats I like legacy and commander mostly. Dabbled a little in modern but never really got into it. Legacy is just so much more wild and fun for me.

I've only ever played Legacy in proxy form, can't afford the real thing quite yet. I've been enjoying Bomberman Combo with Auriok Salvagers and LED. What do you play in the format?

My go to deck for a really long time in legacy has been BUG Delver. The only cards I am really missing that would make it optimal are the 'goyfs and JTMS. I have the cards and contemplated RUG Delver too. I also would like to build Death and Taxes if I can get the Karakas. For modern I had Karn Tron built but I am way behind the times on that deck and suspect it needs a complete overhaul. I imagine my BUG/RUG Delver decks need some minor tweaking. 'goyf seems to finally be getting to a low enough price point that I can pick up a playset soon.

I think Delver and Karn Tron have stayed pretty close to their core for a while now so I don't think they would need much updating. And I can tell you that once you pull the trigger on Goyfs nothing feels better, I bought a playset a few years ago for use in Jund when it was popular and I still don't regret it

Yeah I am darn close to getting a play set. They don't go out of style. I just have to figure out if I have enough newer cards to sell to make it work. That is certainly a smaller barrier at this point than the damn dual lands. Glad I have those left over from when I started playing as a kid.
