There are so many cards that seem "too good" now, it's really hard to say. I'm hoping they tested these enough that every insanely powerful deck will have a counter, but given the SN1P-SN4P debacle, I'm not very confident.
So instead of predicting the strongest, I'll just go ahead and say that I think Druid got the weakest buffs. Token Druid was already slipping, and I don't see anything better coming out of these changes.
I first played during Third Edition. It was the first game of its kind, so I was naturally blown away. Fantasy creature battles with spell-slinging and magical artifacts? Sign me up!
Today, however, its systems feel dated and unpleasant to me. I probably shouldn't be posting this here, but I've happily moved on from MTG. It was fun for a while and deserves respect for paving the way -- and the lore continues to fascinate -- but there are other card games I enjoy a lot more.
If they were ever going to do this, the time would have been at the Kobolds & Catacombs launch. If feels like the moment has passed.
I also agree that the mechanical identity isn't there, and it would feel very forced if they suddenly tried to add mechanics to Kobolds at this late date.
As a promo card, it will not be disenchantable. The golden version will be classified in your collection as "uncraftable," which means it also cannot be dusted.
(The reasoning is that they wouldn't want you to dust something you can never get back if you change your mind.)
I don't miss any of it. I hated that whole year so much that I took an extended break from Hearthstone.
Good riddance. The new stuff is much, much better (after the Rogue nerf).
