Petition to change the unicorn logo of the website to Winnie the Pooh for a while, because I did not notice this until you brought it to attention.

    Quote From AliRadicali

It's a trash-tier meme which is why I don't understand wasting a card slot on Renounce the Darkness for this event. A bunch of people jumped down my throat for being anti-fun or w/e for making similar comments in the reveal thread, but this is exactly the point I was getting at back then too: why waste people's time with unplayable "fun" cards when losing isn't fun and there are meme cards that actually pack a punch.

Different people have different goals when playing this game. I personally enjoy winning and climbing, so I play the best decks to rank up. Others don't like the standard meta but enjoy being competitive, so they'd play Wild or Arena. And some people have fun memeing with cards like Renounce. Different people are allowed to have fun in different ways, which is likely why you were being flamed. Nobody can tell you what's fun and not fun, if people enjoy memeing and don't mind losing, then good for them. I absolutely despise Highlander Mage and have a hilariously low winrate against the deck, while to others it's a complete meme. It's all based on perspective, you can't tell someone how they should percieve something.

According to the Blizzard employees, it wasn't a grouped agreement to ban Blitzchung, since they're beginning to protest themselves.

The thing about Wild is that it's vastly different from Standard. People aren't excited about getting to play the Wild cards per se, rather they're excited about being able to use cards that were previously broken in standard and thus Hall of Famed in decks that we play now. Many cards failed to see play due to not having enough support, and likely won't see more play in Wild where the cards are so much stronger. Doing this allows us to see "what could have been" of Hearthstone. It also showcases how cards can change in perspective, even when the cards themselves don't change, as the game evolves.

Also this way I don't have to fork over dust to play the good decks.

Yeah it's picking a side, but what are you going to do when you're under the stranglehold of literally the world's largest consumer base? And it's not "some big market exposure", it's literally several millions of dollars. China earns more money that the US through Hearthstone purchases. You have to remember that Blizzard isn't a charity, they make products with the intent of profit. This has the risk of turning Hearthstone Tournaments to places to discuss politics, which just puts them under more fire in the future. If you want to support Hong Kong, do that somewhere else, not when playing video games.

What benefit would rotating Frost Nova have? This means there's only one option for Freezing in mage's basic set, which allows Blizzard to print more freezing cards as expansions rotate. Eventually, mage will have countless freezing options in Wild. While that may not seem like a problem because "Wild is supposed to be wild", you run into the old Naga Sea Witch problem where it actually plauges the ladder and becomes virtually unplayable. This is the same problem with Priest, their basic and classis set is so unbelievably bad that they rely on ridiculously strong cards to be printed throughout expansions, which eventually ends up in Wild, adding to Priests ever growing collection of stong cards. Beacuse Priest doesn't have a proper board clear, Blizzard has no choice but to print a new one every rotation. And just so that they don't have to print a new board clear every expansion, they print cards like Psychich Scream and Plague of Death so that they can focus on making other cards instead. This is probably what will happen to mage if they removed Forst Nova; they won't have any other viable option, which will force Blizzard into a position where they have to print mass freeze effects every rotation, which will either clog up slots for other potential new cards or just be an insanely strong card that will eventually funnel into wild.

If this is true, then I feel like it should have been noted somewhere. Otherwise it looks like MrGnome is having a live conversation with Iksar and also has bipolar disorder. Maybe quote who tweeted the white text before or after the quote.

I feel like it's only safe if you have the dust to spare. If you're not worried that you'll need the dust later on, then yeah, it's a good craft. It fits into almost every Quest Druid and Highlander Mage list, but if you don't play either, then maybe it's not the most dust efficient.

Sure it's a solid magnetising target for a sneaky lethal with SN1P-SN4P or something, but Siamat and Zephrys the Great are just so much better almost every single time. I pose that the Nightmare Amalgam draw will be a vanilla 3/4 more than 90% of the time. The two legendaries are just so powerful in comparison, Siamat poses as a significant threat, a strong defense or a removal option, and Zephrys the Great is just the Zilliax of this expansion. On the other hand, you have a 3/4.

That said, this is me judging just by intuition. Maybe it's actually the secret to the deck, I haven't tried it. Sorry if I sounded insulting, I'm honestly just giving my two cents.

I'm honestly surprised that Making Mummies is the most mentioned quest and that Reno the Relicologist is the most mentioned class specific singelton card. I definitely thought it would be Untapped Potential and Dinotamer Brann given the current metagame, but apparently I thought wrong. Either way, congrats to all the winners.

I'm trash at this game (hardstuck rank 10 if you must know) so perhaps this is obvious, but please bear with me.

Dinotamer Brann reads "If your deck has no duplicates, summon King Krush. My question is, why is Highlander Hunter so strong if there are literally only 2 cards that benefit from it? I understand that [Hearthstone Card (Zephrys) Not Found] is insanely good, but is the combination of it's and Brann's value so good that it's worth running only single copies of cards? Or is there some other reason as to why the deck works so well consistently? Is a 2 mana discounted King Krush plus [Hearthstone Card (Zephrys) Not Found] enough to warrant cutting half your deck?

My favourite part was when I played [Hearthstone Card (Zephrys) Not Found] looking for Pyroblast, but got Windfury. I then realise it was still lethal, and the enemy Mage even had Counterspell up!

Cardbacks like this make me wish that there was more interaction with them or that they stood out more. This is a beautiful cardback, and you'd miss the little details more often than not since you can only see about 40% of the card at best. Unless of course your opponent discovers.

Yeah, Hearthstone isn't that demanding of a game, but it's never bad to upgrade. This is honestly one of the better hardware/software spreads I have seen, clean and concise without throwing random tech jargon to make it sound more credible. I especially appreciate the inclusion of different tiers.

Honestly, this is probably more interesting than most books I've read. Really good job done "summarising" the story and collating the actual cards that pertain to the characters in the story. In fact, only after reading this did I realise that there are a surprising number of missing characters in Hearthstone from WoW.

I never play Warlock, Mage or Priest, and they all look relatively weak, so I hope I don't get those.

I'm lacking a good number of Shaman and Druid cards, so if I get those, I'll have to break the bank to make a deck out of them.

I LOVE burgle Rogue and Tess, so I will be over the moon if I get Bazaar Burglary.

Making Mummies actually doesn't seem too bad. From what I've seen on the pre-release streams, Kripp had a lot of success with a Mech/reborn build, often able to complete the quest very early and snowball a lead with infinitely buffed mechs.

Nobody else seems interested in it, but I wouldn't mind Hack the System. I enjoy playing Warrior (I know, sue me) and I think it may be able to work.

So, about the Glinda combo, tell me if I'm wrong:

    1. Complete the quest.
    2. If you drew Glinda Crowskin before completing the quest, reshuffle her back with Baleful Banker.
    3. Draw Glinda Crowskin via Tome of Origination
    4. Play 6 Mogu Cultists.
    5. Demonbolt your Glinda Crowskin.
    6. Play the last Mogu Cultist.
    7. Summon Highkeeper Ra.

If so, you have to get pretty lucky on a lot of axes to make this work. You will be burning through your deck at light speed, so maybe it's more reasonable than it sounds, but having to draw Glinda specifically off Tome of Origination seems like it's going to cause some inconsistencies. Other than that, it's cool that there are other wincons in the deck. Looks like a really solid Plot Twist Warlock, will definitely try it out on launch.

Like all Murloc decks, you need to build up your board early in the game while constantly applying pressure, and therefore it seems like Tip the Scales, because it costs so much, will only be used to refill your board. It's not like Call to Arms where it's going to be used to push for damage or cement your position on the board.

Tip the Scales seems like it's the card to get you back into the game when you run out of steam, similar to how Underbelly Angler is used as a refill generator so you don't run out of garbage to vomit onto the board. I like the inclusion of Nomi, because after playing 2 Tip the Scales you will definitely have basically almost decked yourself, so it's like the final push for lethal. Cool deck, will definitely try it out on release.

I used Daring Escape, Plaguebringer, Sap, Zilliax, Plague Scientist and Shadowstep. The bounces help you reposition your pieces, and some people insta-concede when they see the poisonous minions drop.

There are a bunch of references (I'm pretty sure there's a Monty Python one in there as well), but this set feels like it doesn't have that same 4th-wall breaking self-conscious humour that other sets had, especially KotFT. I will always remember Professor Putricide's (Among his more notable inventions: A tentacle-groomer, a plague that would wipe out all life on Azeroth, and a fidget spinner) and Hagatha the Witch's (Curse-bringer, tree-twister, mother of wretched things…Hanzo main).
