Ah, thanks for the explanation. Yeah, I definitely wasn't doing that. Sometimes I leave a mercs bounty up in the background when I am distracted or WFH, but never long enough to disconnect or leave. It usually yields decent XP that way, and obviously it's the only game mode you can ignore for too long!
As always, thanks for the write-up. I am over halfway done with the list - I have a solid collection so I have been having little trouble as I work through, class by class. The worst one for me so far was the priest legendary (behemoth).
I have been having a blast so far. Had a busy day at work and then a busy evening at home so didn't get to start opening packs until 9pm last night. I opened 246 and got 13 legendaries, so just barely above average (+7 from pre-orders, freebies/tavern pass). I got all the epics really quickly, so that felt good.
I have begun my obligatory XP accomplishments grind, and am really enjoying a Fel DH from this site (Deaddraw's list) which is helping me with 3-4 of them. Not sure how I am going to get 8 attacks with Lady S'theno! Congrats on the double legendary pack, Linkblade91!
I ended up tonight at level 325. I think it might be the farthest (by just a few levels) that I have ever made it on the Rewards Track!
I have only the newest Daily quest to work with tomorrow once the expansion drops, but that's fine with me - I made it D5 in standard tonight (which is my typical monthly "goal") and will begin grinding achievements stress-free and cracking open packs tomorrow after work. I opted to leverage my 20% XP bonus on the tail end of this rewards track for more gold pre-expansion (versus saving quests for the new track) in case I want to get more packs if my pre-orders don't go super well. I have ~35,000+ gold saved up, with plans to only use some of it to fill out my Voyage to the Sunken City collection. I didn't end up getting a complete collection for FiAV (I am missing 3 legendaries), but I figure I will get the last ones through "Year of the Gryphon" packs in Tavern Brawls over the next 12 months.

I am one game away from the XP needed to reach Level 299 on the track. Will be well over 300 once the track resets for Sunken City. I can't wait for the new expansion(!) - my plan is to grind standard and wild ladder until then to try and reach Diamond 5 before I play garbage decks and achievement farm in the new track.
I am excited about the idea of another mobile/tablet game in the Warcraft universe!
I am currently a daily HS player (with most play time on my phone), loved WoW back in the day (vanilla and TBC the first time around), and briefly returned to WoW for a few months last year. I stopped playing after a while because I couldn't keep up with the daily grind/didn't want to keep up with it.
Hopefully they can bring something fun to mobile that scratches the WoW itch but doesn't require a massive time commitment.
About to hit level 229. Finishing up the last grindy (not RNG dependent) Onyxia's Lair XP achievements and just spamming Standard and Ranked Ladder in these final days of the Year of the Gryphon.

I have not tried the Shaman one yet, but the hunter one is killing me. I am at 45 beasts so far, and I just switched to a Wild list so that I can run Brann and Zola. Hope it goes faster!
Sometime last week I finished the Track (Level 100) and took the Illidan portrait. I am at Level 117 now, and also looking forward to next week's mini-release.
My last post in this thread was 1.5 years ago, and a lot has changed: I reached 1,000 wins in 3 classes (and got that long coveted Shadow Gul'dan portrait for Warlock). The ironic thing about that is I have been using the Tamsin "Triumphant" portrait exclusively since United in Stormwind a) for flavor and b) because it's a pretty cool piece of art too!
Here are my class tallies as of today:
DH: 565 wins
Druid: 508 wins (my newest golden hero)
Hunter: 1,019 wins (still rocking Sylvanas, the only non-rewards track portrait I have ever bought)
Mage: 725 wins
Paladin: 1,196 wins
Priest: 463 wins (the last non-golden hero. I am thinking I will try and grind a minimum of 10 wins a month unless Priest is meta again and if I am lucky enough to have the right cards)
Rogue: 707 wins
Shaman: 883 wins
Warlock: 1,086 wins
Warrior: 606 wins (Pirate Quest Warrior in standard and wild has been good to this total, haha)
Congrats R, on reaching Legend for the first time! It's certainly a great feeling, and now you know you can do it you'll have that confidence going into future seasons and climbs (even if you never consciously try to climb all the way again). Congratulations!
I am nearly at Level 94. I've been doing dailies (in mercs and in the main game), and that's about it over the Holiday season. Mostly playing Standard - (I need to get to Diamond 5 still) and then I will flip over to Wild for my climb to D5.

Can you explain how it works now versus before? I haven't noticed much of a change in Mercs XP granted. Not that I was abusing it much.
I definitely concur - XP achievements seem far less dependent on wild RNG/luck this expansion, and even the grindy ones have been sort of fun so far.

I have the same problem. My collection won't load at all/can't see any of the cards on the page.
