I am almost at level 90 as of this morning. I have been grinding XP achievements and ignoring the implications for ladder (only made it to Gold 5 last month :/ ). 77% in March of the Lich King, with some of the worst ones still to complete.
I love the addition of DK, but as I have been playing a ton of jank, I have only about 40 wins with the class.
I concur with earlier posts in this thread - the mercs coins revamp has been a nice change. Once I finished Chromie's 18 tasks I switched to just doing the two dailies, and I now have all but 4 legendary mercs maxed as of today (I had over 40,000 renown from excess coins prior to the system update). It's slow going, but two bounties a day is feeling pretty chill.
Death Knight has long been one of my favorite classes in WoW, and I am thrilled to see it coming to HS! I plan to grind the class upon release. I don't think I will get to 500 wins terribly quickly because I also tend to grind XP achievements when the expansion launches. I can't wait to play with this class.
Maybe I'm an idiot and I missed it, but have they said whether renown will grant a random mercy's coins, or a targeted mercs coins? Not that it will really matter, as I (like other grinders have said) have plenty of extra coins lying around!
I think CrazyCat is a bot, replacing "your opponent" for me, at least. I face CrazyCat whenever I am leveling mercs in PVP (which is my method of choice). The party is always a random mix of mercs, and their level always mirrors the levels of the mercs in my party.
For example, if I have two maxed mercs doing the "carry", then CrazyCat has two maxed mercs and then the remainder are mercs levels 1-29 (whatever I have in my party). It's usually a pretty easy win, but sometimes I get a really bad match up (CrazyCat has 5 protectors versus my 4 fighters, ouch!) and it gets really interesting.
Working on Level 62, with the Tavern Pass. I just need Pelagos to finish the 135 card set, hopefully will get him from a Standard pack (as I am low on the pity timer for MCN).
Currently am NOT climbing ladder as I am playing sub-optimal decks to farm achievements. Most neutrals are done already!
I had a similar internal struggle to @NebuchadnezzarHS this time around. I have a mountain of gold (38K) and quite a bit of dust saved up (60+k) which would have gone a long way (had I chosen not to pre-order).
I love the game, and play a lot of it, but the cost is starting to get to me.
I bought both bundles this time, but I bought them on August 1st - as I have been struggling internally with the annual/recurring dollar cost of HS for a little while. I can afford the game, but it just increasingly feels like lot to spend on something like a digital card game. I know that where have been rumors and whispers from people like Dean Ayala about moving to a 4 expansions per year cadence, which just sounds insane (and not in a great way) to me.
I opened 225 packs yesterday (bundles + free + 80 that I bought with gold). I opened all but 3 legendaries in the set, so mathematically I did slightly better than the "1 legendary per 20 packs" (rough) average. I got Imp King Rafaam from Level 20 on the rewards track, so now I just need Pelagos and Theotar (the Mad Duke).
Overall, I am happy. I bought the bundles and the tavern pass because I like the cosmetics and playing HS (along with a couple other games) is a major hobby for me which I enjoy, but if HS starts drifting towards more and more frequent expansions, I will very likely tap out and just use gold to fund packs (and over time my collection will diminish in its completeness, but I am OK with that).
I am working on level 275 today, and will finish Sunken City a little short of where I got to in Alterac Valley. I have thoroughly loved the flavor of this expansion, and have played most of the various game modes, at least a little bit. Right now I am following Old Guardian's guide for grinding the new mercs coins - something I can do stress-free during the workday. It doesn't yield nearly as much XP as playing ladder or other modes, but it's progress towards a goal (maxing all mercs in my collection, F2P in mercs except for the initial $5 welcome bundle)...
I completed all but 2 of the XP achievements in Sunken City - didn't bother with trying to trigger the second tier of Ozumat's DR, and never got close with the Demon Hunter AOE one.
I have nearly 38K in gold saved up and a ton of dust waiting on the sidelines. Even with all that, I plan to pre-order Castle Nathria because the "free" legendaries that are given with the bundles help out the initial expansion collection so much. I'll probably supplement the pre-orders with gold totaling 100 or so extra packs - more than enough to get all the epics, and hopefully close to all the legendaries if I am lucky.
Can't wait to crack open packs and play with the new cards next week!
So many awesome skins this time around with the Tavern Pass. As others have said, the new Tyrande is top tier. I also especially like the Renathal (warrior I think), Liadrin, Morgl, and Sylvanas ones.
Hit Level 175 yesterday with the Tavern Pass. I've been playing a mix of modes, but mostly constructed. Still really enjoying the flavor of this expansion, if not all of the archetypes. I am working on grinding the less RNG-driven achievements from the mini-set.
Level 98 at the start of the day today. Should easily pass 100/the end of the track by the end of today. I have two 1200 point dailies and two of my weekly tasks left, so plenty of XP on demand. Can't wait to get those final Tavern Pass portraits, a couple of them are awesome.
This task is still bugged for me - anyone else? I can't get into the Mi'da bounty at all, heroic or normal. I have loaded the newest patches, deleted my mercs teams, all the usual suspects, etc.
I am done with Level 76 on the Rewards Track as of this evening. I bought the Tavern Pass, and have been grinding the XP achievements. I have two achievements left - no coincidence that they're the ones for my two missing legendaries from the set: Commander Sivara's and Nellie.
So far have loved the flavor of this new expansion. I am really enjoying a hand-hacked "Naga" mage deck right now as I try to discover Sivara using the amalgams. The pop-off turns are so fun!

I am at level 231 or 232 as of today. I hope/expect to be at or around level 300 by next expansion.

Brann + Nellie hasn't worked for my yet, either. Not sure why. I don't own Nellie, so I am reliant upon discovers from Queen Azshara or Faelin.
