I'm rooting for you, secret package!

If only so people will stop saying, "depends on whether Paladin secrets are good."

Not the ideal way to discount Heart of C'Thun, that's for sure.

Won't be a staple in every deck, but there are definitely some build-arounds that will love it.

I was a little worried about losing Magic Trick -- that card has been hugely important in so many ways. Without it, Arcane Luminary was going to be iffy, but now I think it might find a home.

Ice Barrier is in Core, so Frost synergy doesn't completely spoil the secret.

Even if it does, this is a pretty hard secret to play around for a lot of decks.

It is definitely NOT just for Spell Mage. The fact that the refresh isn't all-or-nothing makes this an auto-include in most Mage decks. You would always use this over Arcane Intellect (or use both).

Love that Freeze Mage is shifting from Control-Combo to Midrange. It may not make it to tier 1, but it will definitely be fun to play.

I literally squealed like an excited baby when this came up in the reveal stream.

People are going to hate this deck so much.

It's slightly better than Arcane Shot for most purposes. You can probably find better cards to include, though.

If you didn't see the video, it's important to know that you get one of each option in the Discover.

So on one hand, you can't bank on getting to choose the absolute best secret (for example) for your situation, but on the other hand, you can always count on getting a card of the type you really need.

Spell damage hunter incoming? I'm skeptical, but it would be so cool if it could happen.

In any case, this seems like an auto-include 5-star card.

I generally like cheap cards that must be dealt with, but man, this effect is so slow. End of turn would have made it feel much better.

    Quote From bardozan

Auto include into Dire Frenzy decks. Looks a little slow, but the payoff is good.

It reads "wherever they are". It means if you choose a minion that is already on board, it will get buffed. You would get the effect immediately.

I wonder that "wherever they are" means they get buffed in the graveyard. C'thun would get buffed in the same way even after it died, and you could shuffle it back into your deck with all buffs.

"Wherever they are" generally means "every copy you ever see for the rest of the game," including new copies that haven't even been generated yet.

So yes, this is an extremely good card.

Not just for token decks, maybe. This could be a reasonable defensive/stall option for other decks, too.

Great example of a taunt you want to revive and/or copy.

Maybe not competitive play, but new/free players could do a lot worse. That's what Core is for.

Love the changes, love the art, love the fact that the old cards get to live on in Wild.

Given the board-focused nature of Barrens, I think some people might be surprised at how relevant these cards will be. Not necessarily top-tier cards, but perfectly adequate for the Core set.

This is a welcome change that makes a lot of sense for the direction they seem to want Rogue to take in Barrens.

However, I'm not sure it will be enough to force any changes in the current Weapon Rogue list.

If you think this is too expensive, you did not see the video.

This is not meant to be a finisher. It turns a fairly modest board of tokens into a trade-winning machine, especially when Solar Eclipsed.

One weakness of token decks has often been that the board can be easily cleared. This fixes that, and 4 mana is not too much to pay.

It's not that weird. You use it in a top-heavy ramp/control deck with lots of draw.

You will definitely win after playing this if you time it right.
