Most of these changes were already leaked, but I like that they're buffing a lot of non-champion cards that see little to no play. Freljords especially, could really use the love they're being given.
Draven's buff seems a little overzealous as he's probably the best Noxus champion at the moment. Darius and Vladimir could've used a buff more.
Watchlist makes sense. Karma and Ezreal have been, together with Elise, pretty much the most consistent and present champions throughout the beta.
Is #5 actually related to Hearthstone? I searched everything that could relate to Brann, Bob and Bounce, actually even related to Battlegrounds and still nothing.
Yep, searching for any of those specific keywords isn't going to help you, though.
It could be that you've already seen this one and you're missing a different one instead. I've spent the last 30 minutes looking for #10 as well, only to figure out it was the first one I obtained and that I'm actually missing #7 still.
You missed the fact that Kalista now only requires three allies to die to level up.
Also that katarina buff now basically makes her a 4/2 quick attack but flexible. A way more interesting buff than just a stat increase or a mana cost reduction in my opinion. Looks pretty good.
Wait, if you match up with people who have your MMR then they're more than capable of beating you. Whether they're Bronze 5, Diamond 10 or Legend players.
Them choosing to play meme decks is the risk they take. Especially if they're looking to climb. They should be fully aware of this.
Also, how does one 'destroy' their opponent in a card game, other than through deck matchups and RNG?
I feel like people are focusing a little too much on the balance aspect here. This makes sense, given how demon hunters have been terrorizing ladder so far, but just because a different class with a different playstyle could have been introduced instead doesn't guarantee that that wouldn't have been a broken mess as well.
For all we know they could've pushed a slow control-oriented class and we'd end up with the Dr. Boom, Mad Genius control warrior 2.0 meta instead. Does anyone remember that one? I do, unfortunately.
Yeah... main reason I haven't played any standard yet. I like tempo decks and all but, much like early Galakrond shaman, current demon hunter seems a little overtuned.
If some decent counter decks show up I might give those a go. Until then I'll stick with wild where I actually met my first demon hunter just now. Guy was trying an OTK with double Galvanizer + Metamorphosis into double Clockwork Automaton + Garrison Commander for 2x 20 damage the next turn. Respect to that guy, shame I had Ice Block up and Reno Jackson in hand. Even with just these few released class cards the deck cycles like crazy already.
I don't understand. How is it harder to win now that you are being paired with someone based on your win rate? Wouldn't be a more fair matchup now? My experiences have been pretty positive. I feel like I have a fighting chance in the majority of my games, I never face an opponent who I feel is way better than me, or way worse.
If you are being paired against someone with the legend cardback and 1,000 win portrait, that doesn't necessarily mean you are fighting a world champion, it simply means they have been playing for a long time and have made legend at least once. It doesn't reflect skill so much as patience.
If there is any issue with the matchmaking so that people are being paired against opponents who are too tough then they will fix it.
To be fair, does anyone ever actually feel like they're playing against a 'good' opponent? 95% of the time you can't tell this without knowing their entire hand, which rarely happens.
Of course I'm talking about mid-high MMR gameplay here. Not the 'coin hero power turn one'-MMR.
Corina control apparently destroys Ezreal decks for the simple reason that it doesn't need to play any of its units to execute its combo. And if you don't play any units the opponent won't be able to level up their Ezreal. I'd give this deck a shot if you're having trouble with all the Ezreal decks going around.
Unfortunately mobalytics isn't working for me right now so I can't link the actual deck. Just google "Corina control" and it should pop up somewhere.
Dragon hunter is weaker without leeroy and is not really a threat any more to the remaining tier 1 decks. HL hunter seems a way better choice.
Mech pally was more a counter deck, I don't see why it would be played atm, unless I miss something.
Not mentioning that tempo rogue is gone.
I haven't played much due to having other priorities. I did play a few games of mech paladin to get my monthly rank 5 minimum though, and it felt no different.
Looking at OoC's meta report, my suspicions are all but confirmed. Dragon hunter and mech paladin are looking as strong as always:
Additionally, you’ll be reimbursed some of the value lost from existing Tokens in your inventory, and Expeditions started before the change goes live will receive the previous set of rewards.
So yes, it does look like we'll get some kind of compensation. How much that compensation will be and if it is worth to keep your current tokens is still unclear, as far as I'm aware.
Funnily enough King Mukla is actually a decent card in tempo demon hunter.
How many of those games that you played were mirror matches, though?

Ah, there we go. Finally got them all. Tunnel vision made #7 unnecessarily hard for me.
Thanks for the fun event! Great stuff as always.

BADCARDNAMEAmazing work by them, as always.

Haven't opened any of my packs yet but the golden legendary I received from the bundle was Maiev Shadowsong.
So this is either going to be a great pack opening. Or I've used up all my luck already.

Any mage deck (bar Reno-galaxy mage)
Mech hunter
Pirate warrior
Possibly odd rogue though I'm not too sure about that one. Same goes for mech paladin
Anything that can gain tons of armor (odd warrior, druids...)
Then give it a rest and wait two days?
You sound like a spoiled brat at this point.
Whatever decks end up looking fun and being decent to strong laddering options. Demon hunter will most likely be one of them.
I don't have the time or patience to theorycraft.

Wow, that's a massive nerf to The Harrowing.
Rip running that card in slow decks as a finisher :(

In fact, even aggro shaman is seeing a decent amount of play. And that without Leeroy.
Also, tempo rogue? Since when has that been a thing during the DoD meta?
