I agree, I think that they’ll keep the max though, just so that it fits in with League of Legends (since teams in that game are 6 players)

    Uhhhhh, what?

I just remember he once made a thread about how Temporus could possibly be used to counter Ice Block and then got extremely aggressive when pretty much everyone told him that the idea was completely ridiculous because giving Mage two free turns is basically suicide in 9/10 cases (which it is, obviously).

It got so bad that he basically discredited anyone who didn't agree with his very ill conceived points a troll...despite being pretty much objectively wrong.

I vividly remember the exact same scenario but with him claiming the Call to Arms nerf would be a major buff to odd paladin. Because aggro decks love paying 5 mana for 3 mana worth of stats and deck thinning is apparently also something they want now.

but the fact that they made their most notorious troll a mod was reason enough for me to never post there again.

Who's the person you are referring to? I'm really curious.

Let's just say there's a certain desert insect over there who's very good at taking a certain stance and refusing to acknowledge any opposition, no matter how valid it may be, very frequently. And that person is now a moderator, seems like a match made in heaven :)

As far as I know all the good mods (bar one or two who stayed there) moved on over here. I'm not sure what's left of the moderation team over there but the fact that they made their most notorious troll a mod was reason enough for me to never post there again.

So yeah, as long as you stay in line you shouldn't have too much trouble here.

Reeks of power creep to me; comparing this to Vanguard Defender should make it pretty clear. Well, I guess Defender has the Elite tag, which counts for something.

As for the card itself, I think it's pretty cool. Obviously has some nice synergy with the self-damage theme, plus Freljord doesn't really have any aggressive early-game units yet, so this will give the region a new tool to play around with and possibly find its way into some weird aggro deck at some point.

How is this power creep? Vanguard Defender is far sturdier (i.e. doesn't die to Mystic Shot, or any 2 attack unit for that matter) whereas this one does.

This one on the other hand deals more damage because of its higher attack and Overwhelm, but is easier to remove in return.

This card is in no way strictly better than Vanguard Defender so I'm not sure where the power creep is coming from.

Yeah, I'm wondering if it's still worth carrying Unseen Saboteur in my Wild highlander packages.

Useless in Standard at the moment, but in Wild it has been an all-star and worth pairing with Brann Bronzebeard. Card has won many games against warlocks (Cataclysm or Bloodbloom goes off, you win; even had a miracle against Darkest Hour Warlock having his Twisting Nether go off).

And it's very effective against druids, rogues, Shadowreaper Priest (milling the millers or screwing up some OTK shenanigans) and Control Warrior to a degree (one mass removal misused can make all the difference).

But it's almost impossible to use it against Quest Mage (had it snag a Time Warp about three times since August) or Big Priest now (too many rez spells in its latest form).

I doubt it. Big priest is (luckily) non-existent, combo warlock decks are all but dead and Time Warp still activates and gives them two turns in a row after you end your turn. Which is usually enough for them to kill you since you just saved them 5 mana.

Interesting interaction with this card in Wild today. My opponent played Loatheb and I drew Eye Beam next turn, which means it should cost 6 mana. However, the spell still cost 1 mana. It seems like the Outcast effect overrides Loatheb's. I don't know if this is a bug or not, but it feels unfair.

It's got its up- and downsides. On the other side of the coin I drew one off of Skull of Gul'dan (outcasted) and it was on the far right side of my hand. I expected it to cost 0 but instead it cost 1 mana, which I didn't have.

Guys, the card says "This costs (1)", not "This costs (2) less".

Yes, I understand that. That doesn't mean everyone expects it to override discounts or cost increases.

I'm not sure what you're asking for here.

Do you want an overview of the strongest deck ever per class?
Do you want an overview of the strongest decks that have ever existed in wild?
Do you want an overview of the best decks currently available for every class?

Oh, I didn't know you were a prophet. Could you give me this week's winning numbers, please? I could use some extra cash.

If, because of these nerfs, midrange demon hunter pops up again it will be but a shell of its former self. The majority of these nerfed cards, in case you haven't noticed, have been cards that are ubiquitous to the demon hunter class. It's not just aggro demon hunter that they're targeting here.

Preemptively nerfing cards is never the solition, bar some exceptional cases (i.e. Reckless Experimenter when SN1P-SN4P was introduced).

Why are some people here so hell-bent on having Priestess of Fury nerfed? She sees no play whatsoever right now. The deck that's terrorizing ladder is aggro demon hunter. Do you really think an aggro deck can afford to play a 7drop only to watch it be removed for 0 mana the turn after? Come on now... By the time she becomes a good card demon hunter should already be put in its place with these countless of necessary nerfs.

Demon hunter being non-existent in wild is what was supposed to happen from day 1. Considering the amount of cards it is missing compared to all the other classes. The fact that it wasn't, however, shows how utterly broken Illidan has been so far.

Freljord is currently the weakest region and there's not a single competitive deck (until maybe now) that runs yetis.

What, pray tell, makes you think they're overtuned?

I changed my response seeing how I had forgotten the Sn1p-sn4p tragedy, among other things. I was hoping you would at least read a post before quoting it. My bad.

    Check out vicioussyndicate.com.

You now know what an actual meta report looks like. You're welcome.

I'm sorry but if you're referring to Tempo storm as your go-to meta indicator your credibility can be thrown out the window immediately.

Perhaps my comparison with giants warlock wasn't the best but secret mage has been a consistent top tier performer for a long time. Continuously flying under the nerf radar because of more pressing matters (i.e. sn1p-sn4p) yet ever present on ladder. Leading to an extremely stale ladder experience. Even more so now that multiple decks are getting nerfed and even more people will probably flock to it.

Anecdotal evidence of you versus secret mage aside, the deck has no real weakness anymore ever since the latest additions and is EXTREMELY consistent, even when it's getting countered with secret hate.

There are enough ways to handle Secret Mage and a lot of tech cards against secrets.

Of course Secret Mage can be anoying - but it far from "unstoppable" like for example Darkest Hour Warlock which got its combo on turn 5.

There is nothing wrong about having really strong decks in Wild - the problem are the decks, which feel "unstoppable".

Okay, I fully agree with both nerfs and Darkest hour warlock is a problem that should have been addressed long ago.

Quest mage is far from unstoppable though. It loses consistently to aggro decks (which is like half of the wild meta) and the slower Reno quest countetpart has the same weakness most combo decks have.

Secret mage, on the other hand, has been the best deck for a long time now. Even with all the secret hate the deck still performs at a top tier level.

Indeed, there is nothing wrong with having really strong decks. But there is something wrong with having a single really, really strong deck. (Does naga giant warlock come to mind?)

That applies to every combo deck though, doesn't it? In that case cards like Mecha'thun never should have been printed at all.

There's literally been one person on this site who has whined about elusives (yesterday) in the past weeks or so.

This is more you whining about Bannermen, which has just been nerfed, than anything else. Which makes you nothing more than a massive hypocrite.

Did you KNOW (oh my god!!?) Bannermen decks can also be COUNTERED? Crazy! (I KNOW!)

It's really weird that they're not touching secret mage at all. Despite what people in the comments here are saying that deck is stronger and more consistent than both reno and regular quest mage.

The nerf to Bloodbloom could also be a big nerf to Mecha'thun warlock. I guess they need to run the Dollmaster Dorian combo instead.

Either way, both of those decks were big counters to Reno Galaxy mage (which counters secret mage pretty hard), which is what I've been playing lately, so I'm happy.

Big priest is terrible. Its win rate isn't even tier 4 at this point. Only reason it still sees play is because certain players are incapable of playing anything else.
