If Acherus and School can replace the word Scheme, then the names of cards are not necessary to solve this. Everything changed except the group of letters "CH" and its position in the word (always the 2. and 3. letter.).
In the Xaril-Xanesh-Xavius example, the letter "a" which is second in each word is literally just a coincidence. The only HS cards with words that start with "x" are Xaril, Xanesh and Xavius, so there's no way to tell that it's a coincidence without a different example - which is why I asked about Acherus Veteran.
So what does this mean? I'm guessing the position of the letters is the key to solve this, but I've got nothing so far.
I got the same order before, using sets of two letters and finding them in each cards name.

So I tried looking at the cards again, and in each word where the two-letter combination was, I looked at the letters before the combination (but only in that word) and I noticed this:

So, finally, what is a word for lawful digging? Excavation.
Alright, a simple one. You're only looking for one card this time:
To live, or not to live, that is the question: Whether 'tis nobler in locked war to suffer The pings and damage of outrageous power, Or to take Fury against a Field of trifles, And by inferno end them...
Fedrion has it 99% right, so I'm counting that as correct.
It's Cogmaster's Wrench! anchorm4n got Hobart and Fedrion got Zapp, but the first one was the Cogmaster himself (played in Mech Mage). What connects them is that they all have Cogmaster's Wrench in the art (well, Cogmastertechnically doesn't, but he's literally in the weapon's name).
The riddle is probably too vague, my bad. It's been a while since my last one. Some big tips coming up to make things clearer:

The first card was a part of a powerful meta deck in the distant past. I'd say it's still an OK card (but I'm no pro), just really unsupported.
The second card gave a buff to all cards of a certain kind, but it wasn't in either of the two mech-centered expansions. (Think: what expansion actually has a technological device in its name?)
The third one is in Battlegrounds, but mostly used as a tech card.
If you look at the three cards, you can see that something appears in each one indicating the final card.
Maybe it's too early for hints, but I want to make this clear: Each of the 3 paragraphs refers to a different card. All three have something in common - the card that is the final solution. Also the first line doesn't matter much, it's just for flavor.
Fire Elemental? I think the specific number is 6 cause the number of the Beast is 666. Fire Elemental costs 6 and has 6 Attack, also its name fits perfectly with the first line's hint.

May I ask, could Dr. Boom's Scheme be replaced by Acherus Veteran?

Is it Excavated Evil?
Does the order in which you showed the cards matter?
Jaraxxus it is!

1. Cloud Prince
2. Leeroy Jenkins
3. Explosive Runes
So the solution would be Fireball!

Nope.
Hint: All the cards have a certain mechanic/engineer theme.
Surprisingly fitting, but no. None of the cards are in Standard btw (third one isn't in Wild either...)

Wombo combo alert:
Brann Bronzebeard + Mojomaster Zihi + Revenant Rascal x2 (with Drakkari Enchanter + Emperor Thaurissan setup)
Each player now has 2 Mana and you have a 5/5, two 3/3 and a 2/4.
How will Lord Barov work? You can't Discover, so will you drag from the HP to a hero icon? Or will you choose from up to 8(!) heroes?
Pogo Brann is the best build, change my mind.
