In Wild it can set up a Malygos Warlock combo turn! Not saying that it’ll be good, but I love Maly Warlock decks, so my mind goes there immediately. Could go into Mechathun Lock too. This card, after it dies (or before even) Hemet to thin the deck to 1-2 cards. Draw them and then combo, play Mechathun first so he’s free.
The first one for sure will have reborn. After that it depends on if the opponent kills it to remove the keyword. But yeah, as everyone's been saying the multiple minions with reborn help to reload the the corpses. So ultimately that is a plus. I still think time will tell with this one, and it's going to depend a lot on how you build the deck. To me this seems okay in most decks, potentially pretty good in a board based deck that wants to also play minion buffs.
Well they made a change! You can only include one copy in your deck. Very interesting choice. Won't really know until all the cards are revealed and even released, but I wonder if even including one copy is a good choice for DK. Runeforging helps, but overall it may not be enough. To steal big, impactful targets you need to also face tank the damage. But they will have that new card that increases your hero's HP total by 10, and it can be played twice. So maybe in a super heavy control deck this can be an option. The weapon also becomes more appealing if DKs can buff the weapon and somehow give it Cleave. Which I wouldn't be surprised if a frost rune card is revealed to do just that. I mean, did you see the long ice shard that came off Frostmourne when he first swings at Liadrin in the trailer? Not sure what that ability is called but I could see it being a HS spell and the effect being your hero getting cleave for a turn!
Malignant Horror almost seems anti-synergistic with some of the other cards we’ve seen so far. If it summons a bunch of copies it’ll leave no corpses for some of the other big payoff cards. But then again, if it summons a lot of copies you have board presence that the opponent has to deal with!
Also, because it’s a copy, not “another” that means it may copy without the reborn keyword. So maybe not as sticky as I first thought it might be. It’s definitely a good buff target though!
Second reveal appears to be Frostmourne. So the question is: Will it had any buff to it like reduced cost? Or will it be the exact same (7) 5/3 weapon we already know?
Wouldn’t be surprised if it remains unchanged and is part of the Path of Arthas set. Or it could be Core too, seeing as it has a very crucial role in overall Death Knight lore as the weapon of the Lich King.
If I remember correctly the player was MegaMog, who I used to see regularly on ladder, but haven’t noticed the name in a while. Not sure if Mog was a streamer but I feel like Roffle and a few others knew them. So they probably did play a ton of HS. And maybe it wasn’t quite that early, but it was early! Like, WAAAY earlier than it should have been for someone to have gotten that portrait!
Depending on how strong DK is I bet we see 1,000 win portraits quickly. I remember seeing an opponent with 1,000 win DH portrait less than two weeks into DH’s release.
So from here on out, assuming they continue with signature cards and signature golden packs, the golden packs of an expansion will drop a legendary 1 in every 5 packs on average, at least until you get all the signature legendaries? DAMN! I don't ever buy the golden bundles but now... I'm still probably not going to buy them! However, for the people that do, it would seem they just got a lot more value for their money with this change!
Very interesting. Will be fun to see where this goes, if anywhere. But I would assume either 1) a nerf is likely coming or 2) maybe they thought about making him 6 mana last nerf and last minute decided on 5 mana instead, and someone uploaded the wrong JPG to the card library.
Just to give OP some comfort, this same topic of debate has come up with Hearthstone every year since about 2016 and it has yet to go anywhere. Has it lost some audience? Sure, it's almost 9 years old (I think almost 10 if you count original beta time) and several popular content creators have moved on or changed game modes, but it's still fine. When one streamer leaves another usually rises to fill the void, or multiple rise up and split their audience. A few streamers leaving from time to time will happen, but it is not necessarily a sign that a mass exodus is or will happen. The people streaming are also playing the game a lot more than most of the player base as streaming it is their job. So they are more likely to move on sooner than most other players because they get super fatigued by playing the same game every day.

Yes, I did check there once I knew the reward was supposed to exist. But there was nothing there. And don't worry, you could never insult my intelligence more than the IRL friend of mine who after I said 3 times I already checked the in game Inbox he sent me a screen capture and was like "Go here". So I sent him a screen cap of my empty inbox and was like "OH FOUND IT!"
Not sure what the issue really was, but when support got back to me they had me delete the app on my phone and reinstall, then sign in again. Not sure if they actually had to do anything on their end or not, or if something just didn't work on the first install, but it worked!
I was actually kind of surprised they had someone get back to me so soon with all that was going on for launch day, but I guess they didn't have any major issues to attend to so they were working through bug reports or something.
Don't know about anyone else, but I didn't get the Iron Man variant for the special launch day stuff while playing on iOS. Anyone else have this problem? I don't really care so much about the variant artwork, but the other stuff this week... would be nice to get in on the launch week loot! Filed a bug ticket already but not sure what good that will do. Hoping it was a larger problem than just a fluke on my account. That way they'd have to address it. If it's just me I'm worried they might ignore it with all the launch day stuff that is happening and keeping them busy ...
I opened a golden copy on launch of the mini set, and I was so pumped for it! Then I rarely played it. But because they buffed it and it was suddenly too good, after the eventual nerf back to the original state I DE'd it, crafted a regular copy because it's still good, and got a free legendary out of it.
Nope! This was addressed not long after his release. Devs stated he is working as intended. However I thought he requires you to bounce him and then play another card that he drew to retain the stats though. I Haven't really played him much myself in this manor, but I thought if you bounced him he goes back to base stats, but then if you play another card he drew while he's in your hand, the effect triggers again he has the stat retention at that point. Could be wrong though. Maybe all you have to do is bounce him and he'll retain the stats.
One and done for me using the Big Druid list posted above. Turn 1 was Aquatic Form, Planted Evidence, and Nightshade Bud to summon Mr Smite. Opponent conceded immediately!
