Am I missing something or is this so unimpressive that it actually hurts?

Cards that require something else to be around in order to be strong are usually not good enough sadly.

These slow speed spells really don't impress me...I'm not sure how this will be good enough to fix her when none of these new spells are every all that strong. Who wants to play a 6 mana deal 3 to two targets? I feel like the answer is no one.

Oddly enough there is only one. I feel like it doesn't make much sense given that they could easily take a few rares and make them epics instead so we don't have this odd 4 legendaries but 1 epic thing going on.

You're right, but a 2/3 for 2 with beast synergy would be a cost you can afford to pay for a tech card, while a 2/3 for 3 is something you will never run because the times when it doesn't have a target are just too painful. It has pirate synergy sure but all the pirate decks are too high tempo to play a card that is this awful unless beasts are in literally every deck they face.

Its amusing how Golakka Glutton is just strictly worse as well since it cost one more mana.

I mean this will be the BC go to ping removal option for certain. No doubt about it.

Yeah this is way too expensive. At the very least it could have been at fast speed or something.

Also though it is true that this works well with things like kegs or other damage up effects, that is an absolute pipe dream with a slow speed 7 mana spell.

That's fair, but I feel they didn't need to bring Ziggs in right now. They could just put someone who fit Shurima and let Ziggs come along down the road when a P&Z yordle is justified.

I don't know the lore for Ziggs but is there a cause for him being tied to Shurima from a lore perspective? I would have thought he'd be P&Z or something. I mean if there is a reason for it then that's fine but otherwise if they needed a champ for Shurima/BC I feel it would've been better to make an entirely original one.

I really don't like this card. This literally feels like it will be degenerate against some decks.

Am I missing something or is this card utterly bonkers? Even the base 3/3 that eventually gives you a 5/3 is something that just seems really good without even using landmark synergy.

I really feel like they need to take the nexus damage off of these random effects. Its useful far less often than it is harmful and it makes these far too inconsistent to see use regularly.

I mean yeah I do. I like Lux

That said Lux doesn't ask for big spells all that heavily. A few 3 mana spells is plenty and Ebb can trigger her in a single turn if you go through the full three spells. Its not that insane an idea. I look for reasons to use her for sure, but I don't think I'm looking that hard here. Lux has rarely ever been played that much but when she does she often sees play without even being alongside the mageseeker crew, so 6 mana spells specifically isn't a hard requirement for her.

Edit: Plus I did say above that it would be a bad deck. I merely stated I wanted to play it, not that it would be competitive.

Looks like Ahri will have some kind of recall theme as well, though one card isn't much to go on just yet.

Man...I wanna try Lux/Nami...but Demacia/Bilgewater is such an awkward faction combo for spell focused decks...If anyone drops a midrange unit you just look at it awkwardly and think of how you wish you had the Shadow Isles.

I think Twin Disciplines isn't the only combat trick that could use a bit of a toning down. I think a lot of them are allowed to be too impactful and as such often kill reactivity in the game. It would be one thing for these to be good cards but they are so much better than other combat tricks that they are the only ones to see play. I think if your trick is that strong that it shuts out all others even with the same region it needs to be reduced in strength.

Sharpsight: I think this card needs to give +1/+2 or vice versa. I think that +1/+2 makes the most sense though since it was made originally as a way for Demacia to react to elusive threats. So I say it should keep the more defensive stat line to allow you to block said elusives while retaining more health on the unit blocking.

Troll Chant: I would think that this was fine if not for the fact that it outshines every other responsive option in Freljord. I would personally make it cost 3 mana and change the stats to -3/-0 and +0/+3. Such would make it playable still but its cost would be steeper and that would allow it to be compared to old Twin Disciplines before it became too good while still being arguably stronger in the right situations. I feel like even that is me being a bit too generous in wanting to keep Troll Chant strong enough to be played.

Shaped Stone: This is an insane card in my eyes and will continue to be problematic forever if left alone. It is one of the best ones in the game and is strictly better than a Demacia combat trick despite that being one of Demacia's strong points. If I wanted to be conservative I would make it give +1/+0 if you don't have the landmark, so it comes with a real cost if it doesn't have the landmark. Even with that said I would consider making it also give +2/+1 when you match the requirement. That I would be open to being wrong on though.

I like her...a lot...but I hate that this is another late game Shadow Isles champion that flips off Kindred. It literally has the same stats and key word.

This is proof in my eyes that the are way too eager to use burst speed. This could have easily been a fast speed spell. They constantly talk about wanting there to be interaction and all this counter playing and then they made a bunch of burst speed that just flips off anyone who tries to do anything about it.

To be fair everything about Yordles is pretty cute. I'd say that Poppy is about as serious as a yordle gets...which isn't very.
