I come and go with MTG. I like that there's this digital free format because it scratches the itch. The game is ultimately too reliant on expensive land cards to make a good deck. Also the lack of randomness in the game (which some people prefer) leads to many games being decided on the draw. It's annoying to know on turn 2 or 3 from the board state and what's in my hand if I will win already. Still, fun enough game for free. I bought the starter deal to support them for the effort.
Would ultimately like if it was somehow reworked to make better use of the digital format.
Shark Typhoon: The shear humor. I opened up 3 in packs (haven't opened that many packs, this card seems to love me) and I have made a deck built around this card as the closer.
Extinction Event: Mass removal and tricky targeting? Count me in.
Porcuparrot: Look at it. I mean seriously just look at it. Look at it again. Look at it.
Gryuda: I love the krakens. I love mill. I love taking my opponents things.
General Kudro: Lets make a bunch of humans and sacrifice them!
Cut ties with China and don't bow to any foreign pressure to limit the free speech of it's players or staff. It's why I gave up on Blizzard and I'm not the only one.
Played a few hours so far and it's fun. Worth all the 0$ I payed for it <_<. But honestly it is really good. I suggest giving it a try while you can grab it for free.
Stopped playing but I still keep an eye on the game. Glad I stopped playing before this expansion because this seems to be a mess. They had done such a good job of fixing balance problems and making some tough decisions to stop power creep. Even when seeing the previews of this expansion I could see some obvious issues of balance and I can't believe they didn't play test this better. 2 major nerf patches not even a month in.
So the indestructible God enchantments make enough sense... but the collection of enchantment creatures is weird. Just like a creature with an ability. Only difference I see is that they also trigger things that react to enchantments, also able to be destroyed by them. Am I seeing that wrong or is that how they work?
"Oooo, Elder Scrolls card game! Neat!" Is what I thought to myself till I reread the headline. Maybe marketing was an issue since I played a bunch of card games and didn't even know this existed.
By claiming China had no influence on their decision they are just claiming that Blizzard itself finds Democracy in Hong Kong to be severely offensive.
Americans love our freedom of speech. You want to stir the hornets nest? Tell us we can’t say something. Proud of those kids for this, they have a lot to lose by essentially giving up a future in gaming and the industry to help support others
It's still pretty easy to build small board before the big Challenger play. There's also the issue with Noble Defender dying and triggering avenge to give you a massive Challenger even if nothing else is on the board. I'm just saying... prepare to run some secret clear.
I'll be keeping up to date with this site for the next week or so hoping for some sort of reversal of this decision. I'm honestly not holding out hope. In the mean time I've deleted my HS app and my battle.net client.
In lieu of any change I'll probably be done with outof.cards by proxy simply because I won't be playing the game anymore. I honestly feel much worse about that than I do about my decision to quit supporting blizzard games. To Flux and the crew, you guys run a great site. You're community involvement is awesome and I'm sorry if Blizzard's doctrine hurts your development greatly. I like you guys a lot and I'm still holding out hope for the best. I like Satyr party girl as a concept. I think Wizards should explore more drunken factions.
