Dude, Hagatha the 7 mana 5/5 is too slow to play in any competitive shaman right now, including control ones.  Make it cost +2 with the hero power and it's even worse.
What deck is going to let you pass a 9 mana turn?  Control warrior?  They can just brawl your storm bringer board while you draw bombs

Bloody murloc shaman runs both Hagathas right now. How is this particular Hagatha too slow again?

Also, to the people who say that this quest is somehow broken in wild, please do elaborate if you don't mind. Shudderwock shaman is meme-tier, as is any other battlecry related shaman deck. Most of them get absolutely slaughtered by aggro and midrange decks. How is this quest going to solve that?

    Ancient Watcher

A card that wants to be silenced.

As you said, as long as you don't face any warriors the deck is great. Thunderhead is an absolute must though. That card carries aggro matchups super hard. I wouldn't recommend playing the deck without it.

Was playing chapter 5 heroic whilst on the train to work. Finally got to Khadgar for the first time and noticed halfway through the fight that the surroundings outside looked a little different than normal. Turns out that I forgot to get off at my stop, meaning I'll be an hour late at work.

And of course I didn't even beat that bloody Khadgar.

Hey, thanks for the decks. What I wonder is, is Patches the Pirate really necessary? Is an extra 1/1 body that game changing? I see it in many decks but not sure if it's a must.

In pirate warrior Patches is an absolute must. In other aggro decks that only run a light pirate package you could opt to cut the entire package, but expect to lose quite a few more games because of it.

You can look at Patches like this: rather than starting the game with a 2/1 or a 1/1 you start with a 3/2 or a 2/2. For any aggressive deck this is a massive deal. Patches is an incredibly strong card, even when he's not in charrrge anymore.

Yeah, you have a point. I was only wondering, because the totem could give you some juice and I wanted to see how good this aspect could be. I admit, that Even Shaman doesn't really mind this, though I have seen some lists running Ancestral Knowledge.

Lackeys are only good in aggro decks in wild and even then they need to be paired with a strong activator. Hence why only odd rogue and murloc shaman have hem at the moment. Even shaman isn't aggro nor is this activator good enough for wild's standards. In my opinion, at least.

As for decks running Ancestral Knowledge, unless it's part of the Thunderhead package, that's just even shaman suffering from the big priest syndrome. In which a deck's shell is so strong that people can add subpar cards to the deck (Jade Spirit, Windspeaker, Hagatha the Witch and, as you mentioned, Ancestral Knowledge) and still have good success with it, despite making the original deck worse.

I'm curious as to how this quest reward will work with Crystal Power. Does it allow you to target two separately or does it make you deal damage to and then heal the same minion? Will Branching Paths get all three?

Pretty sure it only targets a single minion, just like Wrath does.

Branching paths doesn't say choose once anywhere so it isn't affected by the Quest reward.

bro I need to introduce you to one of the best druid legendaries of all time Fandral Staghelm  so I think this card will be pretty good

It's quite easy to name Fandral as one of the best druid legendaries when druid has never had good legendaries. That doesn't suddenly make Fandral or this quest a great card though.

I think part of the problem currently, is BP is the only viable Priest deck atm

Wrong. Control priest and dragon inner/fire priest are more than legend viable.

If only we had this a year ago, so many Quest decks would have been much better

And the strong Quest decks back then would've been even stronger. I don't think it would've changed much in that regard.

I never understood why they did these 'breaks' to begin with so this is a welcome change I guess.

Quick question - what do you think of this card in wild Even Shaman? Is it good enough to be included there?

[edit] Shaman has some totem synergies like Thing from Below and Draenei Totemcarver, but I don't find this that attractive as Flametongue Totem, when it used to cost 2 mana.

Just compare this with Totem Golem, Jade Claws, Murkspark Eel and Dire Wolf Alpha. Then think which card you would rather have on turn 2.

My answer is a resounding no towards EVIL Totem.

    Wild

    This Quest Complete

Plot Twist with Elekk on board

Shuffle two DK GulDans into your deck

Die 90% of the time before being able to pull it off.

    Yeah, no.

This might be decent in standard but wild won't give a damn unless some broken synergy or combo with it emerges.

Unless Priest gets good enough endgame finishers, this is probably just another annoying removal that delays the game.  Fatigue decks typically have been the weaker brand of Control....we'll  have to wait and see what else is coming.

This. Priest getting a decent board clear is cool, but it still doesn't have any sort of finisher or edge over other slow decks.

Yeah this card is absolute nuts. If any quest deck turns out to be good this will, without a doubt, see play.

Questing Explorer looks so strong what the hell. And it's a neutral too.

I'll probably end up with around 4k gold when the expansion drops + the preorder bundle. Which I usually buy, unless it's priced in a ridiculous manner.
