6 days is more than enough. Realistically all you need is one lucky streak and you're basically there already.

And if you don't make it, there's always next month, as Shuckie said. No need to get stressed over a cardback.

Reno secret mage looks like the biggest winner for wild. That's the deck I'm most inclined to play.

Until I face the first big priest and then I'll probably stick to standard for the foreseeable future.

Does anyone know if they tinkered with the progression at all compared to the last event? Last time I bought the pass only to figure out getting everything wasn't really doable within the time I wanted to spend on the game. Has this changed?

The current batch of cards was extremely underwhelming for me. Reason for that being that the entire meta is warped around Lee Sin targon vs. The world. The latter being mostly discard aggro.

Them taking another two weeks to fix our overtuned monk doesn't really help much either. By that time many people have already lost most of their 'new cards hype', so we see a lot less of experimentation.

So all in all I'm not disappointed in the new cards, there's plenty of fun stuff there, but in the fact that they left the meta tyrant untouched whilst releasing these new cards.

This should have been burst to see play.

    What would that change

    These comparisons aren't really apt.

You're completely ignoring Dirty Rat, who saw quite some play. Still does, in fact.

Rebuke didn't see play because it's just not a good card. It compares so poorly against Loatheb which does see a lot of play because it's insanely strong, but not as a combo disruptor.

Most combo cards don't see play because either: a. there aren't enough combo decks to justify running a (slightly) overcosted card or b. the card is just too bad to play. In case of Glide it's probably the former. What real combo decks are even in the meta right now?

I can understand the nerf to turtle mage as the deck is just super unfun to lose to. But the rest of the meta was, again, so good. No top tier decks and like 7/10 classes had highly competitive decks. Druid really didn't feel like it needed another nerf this early.

Hey look, Swim and Mobalytics edited their tier lists and multiple bilgewater decks got knocked down a tier. Is it time for you to change opinion again?

Swim actually put two targon decks in tier 1 now. Is Targon Actually Good After All?

It would be perfectly cheeky and petty if Swim released a milk tier list on his front page.

Haha, I honestly wouldn't even put it past the guy.

Can we at least agree that maybe Sejuani should be harder to level up?

Considering that, like Ezreal, she levels up off the board and she's utterly backbreaking once she gets there, I think adding 1 or 2 rounds to her requirement would not be out of line.

I would like you to know that Sejuani is a perfectly balanced card.

I would also like you to know that Sejuani/Glangplank is most definitely NOT my favorite deck, and that the statement above is NOT biased.

Sejuani is a perfectly balanced card? Thats an interesting oppinion i gotta say..

Oh, and everyone has known Sejuani is one of the strongest champs in the game for months now. Hate to break it to you but you're not special, bud.

The only thing I have noticed (which is anecdotal and probably a coincedence. Is when I try out a new deck I get a mirror match instantly

    Hah, too true.

I especially have this with slow decks, with which I absolutely despise mirror matches because they take forever. Whenever I'm like "hey maybe a slow warrior deck will work well in this meta" BAM instant Garrosh v Garrosh.

Dude that isn't a nerf, it just puts it in line with bannerman and every other allegience card, can you only post when you have a clue what you're talking about k thanks bye. Not to mention high level players are talking about the exact same thing, new set = pointless.

"That isn't a nerf, they just lowered the card's strength to put it in line with similar cards"

...the last line of my initial post still stands, you know.

Your 'clue of what you're talking about' is parroting swim and his tier list without thinking for yourself for even a second.

It's also the reason most of your posts are just transcriptions of his tier lists (both the mobalytics one and the one on his own website).

Think for yourself, for once. Swim isn't gonna tell you to which milk to buy.

Casually ignores the Yordle Grifter nerf and the fact that they literally mentioned one of the cards in your post being on their watch list

Yeah, this is indeed a QQ post.

"Sejuani might as well be bilgewater"

Can you please only make posts when you're at least somewhat sober, thanks.

The first Aurelion Sol deck is all the way down in tier B.

This seems like a case of you needing to git gud.

Quest mage is easily countered by any aggressive deck. It's unfun to play against, sure, but not a meta tyrant.

Darkglare warlock, on the other hand, was reaching a point where its worst matchup is the mirror, akin to sn1p-sn4p warlock back in the days.

This nerf was absolutely necessary for the wild metagame's health.

Tempo storm has never been a good meta indicator. They're not very reliable or accurate.

vS just came out with their report and standard seems to be extremely healthy right now with not a single deck being tier 1 at top legend. More than 8 classes all have competitive tier 2 decks which seems unprecedented. I wonder if these standard balance changes were a little too early.

The wild one (Darkglare) was much needed though, so I'm really glad about that one.

Nice to see a few buffs amidst the nerfs.

And thank god they didn't overlook wild and actually nerfed Darkglare.

I'm kind of curious about the Cabal Acolyte nerf though. Priest didn't seem that strong, and even if it did, I'm not sure this card is the reason.

    We're what, 4 hours in?

Come back in a week, at the very least, before throwing ridiculous terms such as 'meta breaking' around so easily.

I wouldn't mind it going back to 3 mana, perhaps at the cost of lower stats. But this is me only speaking from a wild POV.

Dapperdog is right that prenerf it was far too efficient for standard.

For now though, bomb warrior is a good counter to all the reno priests. It can also play defensively so its matchup against all the kingsbane rogues and darkglare warlocks isn't bad either.

    Would recommend.
